摘要： Provided are methods, corresponding apparatuses, and computer program products for performing out-of-band sensing on an unlicensed frequency band. A method comprises sending a configuration message for configuring measurement on at least one channel in a frequency band of a primary system; receiving a measurement report made based upon the configuration message; and determining the usability of the at least one channel based upon the measurement report, wherein the configuration message includes information regarding a respective predetermined threshold of energy detection or primary-system-feature detection, and the measurement report is for reception when a measured energy detection value or a measured primary-system-feature detection value of a received signal on the at least one channel is less than the respective predetermined threshold. With the claimed inventions, the spectrum efficiency would be improved and interference between a secondary system and an LTE system could be alleviated.

According to the method, in response to receiving a request for accessing a target frequency band utilized by a Macro BS and a LPN from a frequency-shared system, a first notification is transmitted to the Macro BS, such that the Macro BS deactivates the target frequency band, and a second notification is transmitted to the LPN, such that the LPN extends its coverage. Then, information on the extended coverage is received from the LPN.

The method comprises sending, by a source local area base station (e.g., a source access point), a handover request for handing over a user equipment to a target local area base station (e.g., a target access point), wherein the source and target local area base stations are connected with a same wide area base station and the user equipment is connected with the same wide area base station via the source local area base station. The method also comprises handing over, based on a handover request acknowledgement from the target local area base station, the user equipment to the target local area base station for continuing with at least one of an ongoing local area service and an ongoing wide area service without changing security keys of the same wide area base station. With the claimed inventions, the handover latency and service continuity during the inter-AP mobility would be efficiently improved in a secure manner.
