    • The present invention provides a display front panel having an anti-reflection layer characterized in that the anti-reflection layer comprises a first layer and a second layer having a smaller optical refractive index value than that of the first layer which are laminated to at least one side of the surfaces of a base plate of a display front panel in a way that the first layer faces the surface(s) of the base plate and the second layer is laminated on the first layer, wherein the first layer is a cured film made of a composition containing (A) a polymerizable compound or an oligomer thereof having at least two unsaturated double bonds, (B) an organo-silicon compound or an oligomer thereof and (C) particles of metal oxide, and the second layer is a cured film made of an organo-silicon compound.

    • An electrophotographic image forming system wherein a visible image is generated on a recording medium in response to a print start command, and the visible image is fixed on the recording medium by heat generated by a heater. The temperature of the heater is controlled by a controller such that the detected temperature of the heater is held at an image fixing temperature when the system is in a printing operation, at a high stand-by level lower than the image fixing level when the system is in a first stand-by state without the print start command being received within a predetermined time period even after a last printing operation, and at a low stand-by level lower than the high stand-by level when the system is in a second stand-by state without the print start command being received even after the predetermined time has passed.

    • An electrophotographic image forming system wherein a visible image is generated by an image forming device in response to a print start command and is fixed on the medium by heat generated by a heater. The temperature of the heater is controlled in a temperature-control-on mode and not controlled in a temperature-control-off mode. A controller is provided for controlling the heating device in the temperature-control-on mode such that the temperature is held at a first level when the apparatus is in a stand-by mode before the print start command is received, and at a second level higher than the first level when the apparatus is in a printing mode with the image forming device being operated. The controller changes the temperature-control-off mode to the temperature-control-on mode to control the temperature to be held at the second level and establish the printing mode without establishing the stand-by mode, when the print start command is received in the temperature-control-off mode.

    • In an electro-photographic device for printing photographic images by fixing heated toner on printing paper. The electro-photographic device has a cover which is opened by an operator during maintenance and error recovery operations. Since the device has a paper sending unit provided on both the main body and the cover of the device, the paper sending unit has to be driven to recover synchronization after the operation is completed. On the other hand, the device cuts off power to the fixation unit for safety reasons during the operation which causes the fixation unit to cool. The present device is characterized in that the device starts the recovery procedure after the temperature of the fixation unit reaches an optimal point above the melting point of the toner so that the fixation unit is not damaged by solid toner.
