    • A terminal locking device equipped connector is provided. This connector includes: a hood for protecting a terminal portion of a connector terminal; a terminal chamber connected to the hood for accommodating a wire connecting portion of the connector terminal; an engaging means formed integrally with the hood for maintaining an engaged state with a mating connector; a terminal locking device provided, by connected to said hood through a hinge, for locking the wire connecting portion; and a detachable provisionally-fixing member, disposed between a side surface of said engaging means and said terminal locking device, for provisionally fixing said terminal locking device in an open state. Thus, better workability particularly in accommodating a connector terminal in a terminal chamber can be realized.

    • A combined-type connector consists of a hood having at the front half a first connector-fitting chamber and at the rear half a side opening in a direction perpendicular to a connector-fitting direction; and a connector with a connector-fitting section having a second connector-fitting chamber formed therein. The connector-fitting section of the connector is inserted through the side opening into combination with the hood, moved in the direction perpendicular to the connector-fitting direction in which the connector is fitted with a mating connector. The hood and the connector can be easily combined and disassembled, though not disassembled under a force acting in the detaching direction of the connector from the mating connector.

    • There is disclosed a crimping connector in which the efficiency of the operation is enhanced by simplifying a process of crimping sheathed wires. Also the efficiency of arrangement of a terminal assembly in a mating connector is enhanced. Each of housings 10 and 11 includes an upwardly-open wire connecting portion 2 and a terminal connecting portion 3 of a closed cross-sectional shape communicating with the wire connecting portion 2, and the housings 10 and 11 are integrally connected together through hinges 4 so that the wire connecting portions 2 of the housings, as well as the terminal connecting portions 3 thereof, can be stacked one upon another vertically in the same position and the same direction, and also crimping terminals 30 in the stacked housings 10 and 11 are arranged vertically in the forward direction. Sheathed wires 40 are press-connected to the crimping terminals 30 in the housings 10 and 11 by a crimping jig 50 which moves upward and downward at the same position in the horizontal direction.

    • An insulation displacement contact terminal has a pair of side walls, an a pair of pressure contact blades that are mutually opposing and formed by partial bending away from the side walls. When an insulated wire is inserted between the pressure contact blades along a first direction, edges of the pressure contact blades bite into the insulation of the insulated wire so as to make contact with the inner core wire of the insulated wire. The pressure contact blades each have a curved part that is continuous from the side walls, and each curved part has a radius of curvature such that when the pressure contact blades are bent from the side walls and when a pulling force is applied to the insulated wire in a second direction that intersects with the first direction, concentration of bending stress acting on the pressure contact blades is relieved.
