摘要： A method and apparatus for managing a buffer of a Radio Access Station (RAS) in a communication system are provided. An available buffer space determiner sets a threshold for each service class for scheduling packet input/output of the buffer according to priority of a service class, estimates and stores, upon receipt of a packet at the buffer, an available space size of the buffer after the packet reception, compares the estimated available space size of the buffer with a first threshold corresponding to a first service class indicative of a service class of the packet, and schedules packet input/output of the buffer according to the comparison result. A processor module schedules packet input/output of the buffer according to an output of the available buffer space determiner. The present invention can improve quality of services through service differentiation based on priorities of service classes and buffer management based on characteristics of the corresponding service traffics.

摘要： A method and apparatus for providing a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service using a Payload Header Suppression (PHS) method in a mobile communication system are provided. The method includes extracting header information by analyzing a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer message that is included in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling message received from a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) system, generating a Classification (CS) rule based on the extracted header information, determining whether to generate a new service flow based on the extracted header information, generating a PHS rule using a Dynamic Service Addition (DSA) when the new service flow is generated, and generating the PHS rule using a Dynamic Service Change (DSC) when the new service flow is not generated, and transmitting the generated CS rule and PHS rule to the WiMAX system.

摘要： The present invention relates to a light guide capable of transferring light from an illuminating apparatus to a certain distant destination. The light guide includes a light source, and a hollow guide unit extended from the light source and having a transparent lateral surface. The present invention provides a pipe shaped light guide having a cross section of an epicycloidal curve for enhancing power and a light emitting characteristic. In the present invention, light is transmitted using a light transmitting material or a prism at a portion of a cross section of the epicycloidal curve, and a reflection plate formed of a high reflection ratio is installed at the remaining portions of the cross section of the same. In addition, an expensive lens or prism is not used in the present invention thereby decreasing fabrication cost. It is possible to provide a high efficiency light guide. In particular, it is possible to improve illumination and energy efficiency characteristics by changing the type of the epicycloid or changing an optical parameter of a material which forms the wall surface of the light guide.

Particularly, the cation-exchanged zeolite catalyst has a molar ratio of Si/Al from 5 to 100 and is ion-exchanged with an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal in range of 2% to 50% of ion exchange capacity.Further, the process for producing mono-iodo benzene of the present invention comprises the step of performing a transiodination by using the cation-exchanged zeolite catalyst to produce mono-iodo benzene from reactants including benzene and one or more multi-iodo benzenes selected from the group consisting of di-iodo benzene and tri-iodo benzene.

In a method for operating a terminal for a group communication service in a wireless communication system, a bandwidth ranging message is transmitted to a base station in an idle state. The terminal is allocated an uplink resource from the base station. A message for access state transfer including a multicast Connection IDentifier (CID) is generated. The message for access state transfer is transmitted to the base station via the allocated uplink resource.
