    • A valve assembly includes a solenoid can having an internal coil. A valve body connected to the solenoid can includes an inlet port and a first valve seat. An axially adjustable retainer threadably connected to the valve body includes an end portion defining a second valve seat. A homogenous valve member/armature slidably disposed in the valve body moves in the presence of a coil generated magnetic flux between valve closed and valve open positions. A valve member/armature first surface area is in fluid communication with a pressurized fluid through the inlet port. A valve member/armature second surface area is in fluid communication with the pressurized fluid in the valve closed position. The first surface area is equal to the second surface area and the pressurized fluid acts equally on the first and second surface areas defining a pressure balanced condition in the valve closed position.

    • A solenoid actuated valve assembly includes a valve body having a slidable main valve member and a pilot valve body mechanically connected to the valve body including a slidable pilot valve member. A first solenoid operated valve connected to the pilot valve body when energized directs pressurized fluid to move the pilot valve member between pilot valve open and closed positions. A second solenoid operated valve connected to the valve body when simultaneously energized with the first valve directs the fluid to move the main valve member between valve closed and open positions. A third solenoid operated valve connected to the pilot valve body when energized and when both the first and second solenoid operated valves are de-energized directs the fluid to move the pilot valve to the pilot valve open position and the main valve member to the valve closed position.

    • A pneumatic pressure regulator assembly including a regulator housing having an inlet adapted for fluid communication with a supply of pneumatic pressure, an outlet adapted to provide pneumatic pressure to a downstream pneumatically actuated device at a regulated pressure, and a regulator valve assembly. The piston assembly includes a pressure responsive surface defining a geometric shape with a major and a minor axis wherein the major axis is greater than the minor axis. The piston assembly is responsive to pneumatic pressure flowing between the inlet and the outlet to reduce the biasing force acting on the valve member such that the valve member moves to its closed position when the outlet pressure exceeds a predetermined value.

The cartridge includes a cartridge loading end having a retaining member engaged to the cartridge loading end. A valve member slides coaxial to a longitudinal axis of the valve body.
