摘要： In an immersion nozzle for continuous casting, at least one portion of reduced a sectional area of passage for molten metal is formed near to the bottom of the nozzle and plural discharge ports symmetrically arranged with respect to the axis of the nozzle are arranged above and below the reduced sectional area portion in the longitudinal direction of the nozzle. Further, molten metal is continuously cast by using the above immersion nozzle together with a static magnetic field.

摘要： A belt-converging type continuous casting apparatus for the continuous production of sheet bar-like cast sheet, wherein a casting space is defined by a combination of a pair of metal belts for supporting broad side planes of the cast sheet arranged opposite to each other with circulatedly moving, and a pair of tapered fixed-type side plates for supporting narrow-side planes of the cast sheet each disposed between the metal belts in intimate contact therewith, and is characterized in that the shape of the side plate is designed so as to satisfy the following relations:d=5-300 mm,D.gtoreq.60 mm,D/d.ltoreq.16,.theta..ltoreq.30.degree..theta.=tan.sup.-1 (D-d/Hto thereby prevent the occurrence of defects in the side planes of the cast sheet, while the metal belt is selected so as to satisfy the following relations:Sy.gtoreq.10,500 t/Dr,0.4.ltoreq.t.ltoreq.2.5,wherein Dr is a diameter of a guide roll (mm), to thereby prevent the deterioration of cast sheet quality and the casting accident accompanied with the deformation of the belt.

摘要： A method of producing layer-like clad metal materials is disclosed. The layer-like clad metal material is produced by applying an organic substance consisting mainly of carbon and hydrogen to the surface of a metallic core material having at its surface substantially no oxide film to form a coating film having a thickness of 50-3,000 .mu.m, placing said core material in a casting mold, pouring a molten metal having the same or different composition around said core material into said mold by a bottom pouring process to form a clad metal ingot, subjecting said ingot to slab rolling or forging to form an intermediate product, and then subjecting said intermediate product to a hot working and, if necessary, a cold working.
