    • A plasma generator (1) comprises: a liquid containing part (3) which contains a liquid (6) including water; a gas containing part (4) which contains a gas; and a partition wall part (5) that separates the liquid containing part and the gas containing part from each other and is provided with a gas passage (5a) through which the gas in the gas containing part is led to the liquid containing part. The plasma generator (1) is also provided with a first electrode (10) that is arranged in the gas containing part and a second electrode (11) that is arranged so as to be in contact with the liquid in the liquid containing part. The plasma generator (1) is further provided with: a gas supply unit (9) which supplies the gas to the gas containing part; a plasma power supply unit (13); and a liquid inflow prevention device (a control unit (14)) which prevents the liquid from flowing into the gas containing part from the liquid containing part through the gas passage.

    • A linear oscillating actuator gives a smooth reciprocatory movement with a minimum of incidental vibrations or stresses. The actuator includes an oscillator carrying a permanent magnet as well as an output shaft which is adapted to be connected to drive a load, and a stator assembly carrying an electromagnet. The electromagnet generates a magnetic field which interacts with the permanent magnet to reciprocate the oscillator relative to the stator assembly in a linear path. A spring link is provided to resiliently support the oscillator to the stator assembly with a gap distance left therebetween for allowing the oscillator to reciprocate in the linear path. The spring link is configured to deform resiliently also in a direction other than along the linear path so as to allow the oscillator to move to and away from the stator assembly or to twist relative to the stator assembly. Thus, the spring link can absorb incidental stresses or displacements from which the oscillator may suffer in the directions other than along the linear path, assuring to give a smooth reciprocatory movement to the oscillator with a minimum of fatigue accumulated in the spring link.

    • A reciprocating linear actuator capable of reciprocatingly driving a plurality of movable elements (2 and 2) by a single stator (1). The movable elements (2 and 2) are connected to each other through a connection body (3) having a spring characteristic to be capable of displacement in the reciprocating direction of the movable element. The connection body (3) has such a shape that can be drawn with a single stroke on a two dimensional plane, and at least both ends thereof are connected to the movable elements (2 and 2), respectively. Since the connection body (3) is made of a flat spring, it requires less space for installation as compared to a connection body formed of a coiled spring. Further, since the entire connection body has an effective spring characteristic, a relatively smaller size is required for the connection body to provide a required spring characteristic. The less installation space for the connection body (3) is advantageous to a reduction in size of the linear actuator.
