摘要： An information processing apparatus includes a receiving unit that receives, from an external device via a communication line, a signal requesting provision of various types of services; a processing unit that when the receiving unit receives the signal in a setting period of a power saving state where power consumption is lower than in a running state, returns to the running state to process the signal and provide a service corresponding to the signal; and a memory that stores a content of the service provided by the processing unit and a content of a request requested by the signal, the content of the service and the content of the request being correlated respectively, wherein when the request received by the receiving unit in the setting period of the power saving state matches the content of the request stored in the memory, the processing unit reads the content of the service correlated with the content of the request from the memory and provides the service corresponding to the content of the service to the external device.

摘要： The information processing system includes: an information processor operating in an active state and a power saving state consuming less power than the active state, and recovering to the active state by receiving a signal in the power saving state and processing information in the signal; a signal transmitting device transmitting a signal to the information processor; and a communication line establishing communication between the information processor and the signal transmitting device. The signal transmitting device transmits the signal after appending, to a predetermined region inside the signal, the identification information for identifying a processing content of the signal. The information processor specifies the processing content from the identification information when receiving, in the power saving state, the signal, recovers to the active state where power is supplied to a functional unit to execute the processing content, and starts processing on information stored in a data region of the signal.

The determining unit determines, upon detecting that a specific printing device is not checking whether print instruction information indicating an instruction to print a document in the specific printing device is retained in a service which generates print instruction information indicating an instruction to print a document in a specified printing device, that the specific printing device is not in a checking state in which it is intermittently checked whether print instruction information is retained in the service. The processor performs processing for allowing the specific printing device to shift to the checking state if the determining unit has determined that the specific printing device is not in the checking state.
