    • According to one embodiment, a mobile wireless terminal, which makes a wireless communication with a base station accommodated in a network, includes a receiver, a communication module, and a controller. The receiver is configured to receive and frequency-convert a wireless signal transmitted from the base station, and to detect a beacon signal transmitted from the base station based on a reception signal obtained by the frequency conversion. The communication module is configured to receive a wireless signal transmitted from the base station, to acquire identification information of the base station by decoding a reception signal obtained from the wireless signal, and to communicate with the base station. The controller is configured to activate the communication module in accordance with a reception result of the beacon signal by the receiver, and to control the communication module to acquire identification information from the base station.

    • According to one embodiment, a wireless communication apparatus includes a filter module, a generator, a first comparator and a power management module. The filter module is configured to transmit an uplink channel component among a received signal by an antenna. The generator is configured to generate an input voltage by using the uplink channel component. The first comparator is configured to output a first high signal when the input voltage is higher than a first threshold voltage, and output a first low signal when the input voltage is not higher than the first threshold voltage. The power supply management module is configured to change a power supply for transmission and reception of a wireless signal from an off state to an on state when the first high signal is continuously output for a minimum transmission time of an uplink signal or more.

    • According to an embodiment, a information processing apparatus includes a wireless communication unit, a first search unit, and a connection unit. The wireless communication unit performs wireless communication with another apparatus which is utilizable as a wireless base station. The first search unit is configured to: use the wireless communication unit to sequentially transmit, in a second transmission period different from a first transmission period, plural of first identification signals having different center frequencies within a frequency band usable by the wireless communication unit, as an activation request signal for requesting activation of a wireless communication unit included in the another apparatus; repeatedly transmit, in a first repetition period, the first signals in the frequency band; and search for the another apparatus. The connection unit uses the communication unit to establish connection with the another apparatus which is searched for.

    • According to one embodiment, a communication device including: a CPU; a wireless communication module; a radio signal detection module; a power supply circuit. The wireless communication module includes; a receiving module configured to receive a radio signal containing identification information from another device; a storage module configured to pre-store at least one of the identification information; a verification module configured to verify the identification information of the received radio signal against the identification information stored in the storage module; and a notification module configured to notify the CPU when the identification information of the received radio signal corresponds with the identification information stored in the storage module. The radio signal detection module makes a notification to the power supply circuit if the radio signal detection module detects the radio signal. The power supply circuit supplies the operating power to the wireless communication module if the power supply circuit receives the notification.
