摘要： A reformer exercise apparatus has a generally rectangular frame having a head end and a foot end and including a pair of spaced apart parallel track members, a movable carriage mounted on the frame for movement along the track members between said head and foot ends against one or more springs connected between the carriage and the foot end of the frame and an adjustable foot bar assembly mounted at the foot end of the frame. The foot bar assembly includes a foot bar and a foot bar support bar that fits into a pair of support brackets. Each bracket is a generally block shaped body fastened to the foot end of the frame. The bracket has a plurality of vertically spaced, downwardly opening slanted slots therein for receiving the support bar, each slanted slot having an entrance portion extending upward to an enlarged support portion at a base of the slot for retaining the support bar therein. The enlarged support portion forms a pocket to positively retain the support bar. A lock block that removably fastens to the foot bar support bar may be slidably inserted into the support portion of the bracket to lock the support bar in the support portion of the bracket.

A pair of roller wheels at the head end and a pair at the foot end of the carriage support the platform. A single common axle supports the head end pair of rollers from the carriage, forms a pivot support for the folding shoulder stops, and forms part of an adjustable position support assembly for the headrest. The shoulder stops are preferably attached to a tubular sleeve that rotates on the common axle.

Each anchor structure has an anchor socket assembly fastened to one of the side walls and a removable elastic member anchor bar assembly mounted in the anchor socket assembly. The anchor socket assembly has a central tubular portion passing through the one of the side walls and a flange portion fastening the tubular portion to the side wall. The anchor bar assembly has an L shaped anchor bar, a cylindrical yoke receiving and holding a long leg of the anchor bar, and a spring bar tube rotatably fastened to a short leg of the anchor bar. The cylindrical yoke has a portion adapted to fit within a central bore of the tubular portion of the anchor socket assembly, and has a plurality of spaced radial holes therearound for engaging with and retain the anchor bar assembly in the anchor socket assembly.

摘要： A reformer exercise apparatus has a head end and a foot end and a pair of spaced apart parallel track members, a movable carriage mounted on the track members for movement between the head and foot end. One or more springs are connected between the carriage and an elastic member anchor bar and carriage stop assembly at the foot end. The anchor bar and carriage stop assembly adjustably positions the carriage, the anchor bar and the elastic members on the tracks to accommodate a wide range of user heights. Each end of the anchor bar is disposed in an elongated slot formed in each track member. The elongated slot has spaced gear teeth shaped openings defining spaced anchor bar stop or lock portions. The anchor bar can be moved between lock portions only when rotated to an unlocked position wherein the bar, coupled to the carriage, can slide along the track within the slot. In addition, the assembly maintains the carriage and anchor bar a predetermined distance apart when the anchor bar is in the unlocked position and maintains a minimum distance between the anchor bar and the carriage when the anchor bar is in the locked position.

A movable carriage is mounted on the frame for movement of the carriage along the rails. A pair of spaced-apart anchor bar supports formed integrally with the tracks is fastened near the foot end of the frame and each supports an end of a nonrotating spring anchor bar. Each bar support has a series of upwardly open slanted slots, and the anchor bar is received in a selected pair of the slots. The cross section of each anchor bar end is shaped to engage the slot walls to prevent rotation of the anchor bar.

摘要： An exercise apparatus comprises a generally rectangular frame having a head end and a foot end and including a pair of spaced apart parallel track members, a movable carriage mounted on the frame for movement along the track members between said head and foot ends against one or more springs connected between the carriage and the foot end of the frame. The carriage has a generally flat upper surface for supporting a user's body. The upper surfaces has a pair of spaced shoulder stops and a head rest extending from the carriage toward the head end. The head end has a cutout portion to permit the head support to extend through the head end so that the carriage can be fully extended to the head end against spring tension. The foot end includes an elastic member, anchor bar and carriage stop assembly to adjustably position the carriage and elastic members on the tracks to accommodate a wide range of user heights. The anchor bar and carriage stop assembly includes an anchor bar support bracket which has a plurality of recesses for receiving ends of the anchor bar, an anchor bar member and a pair of carriage stop members each extending from one end of the anchor bar member along one of the tracks so that the carriage is always spaced from the anchor member by a fixed distance, yet the anchor bar can be spaced various distances from the foot end of the frame.
