摘要： A pan detector for an induction heating apparatus of the type having an induction heating coil adapted to electromagnetically couple to a cooking vessel comprises a first, vertically movable magnet and a second, fixed magnet spaced therefrom and a reed switch disposed between the first and second magnets. Upon the placement of a cooking vessel of magnetic metal in overlying relation to the heating coil, the first magnet moves upwardy by attraction between the bottom wall of the cooking vessel and the first magnet to result in a change in magnetic flux level in the neighborhood of the reed switch. The reed switch operates in response to the change in magnetic flux level to permit and prevent, respectively, energization of the heating coil. The first and second magnets have their poles oriented in opposition to each other to provide repulsion therebetwen to increase the attraction.

摘要： An induction cooking apparatus having a plurality of induction heating coils disposed in an array for induction-heating a metallic heating load by electromagnetic induction. Air inlet ports are formed at the front end of the appliance to admit cooling air for cooling the interior of the cooking appliance and air outlet ports are formed at the rear end of the appliance. The apparatus ensures comfortable cooking without exposing the user to hot exhaust air and, also, better cooling without drawing in hot exhaust air or hot steam from the food materials. Furthermore, a partition is provided within the appliance for separating the power converter unit from the operating unit for blocking objectionable movement of cooling air and blocking induction radiation from the power converter unit so as to protect the operating unit from the induction radiation from the power converter unit and prevent faulty operation thereof, and a cooling fan is disposed in an orifice in the partition for circulating cooling air within the appliance and ensuring an efficient cooling performance.

A control device is provided in the first chamber, the first chamber being in fluid communication with the inlet holes, and the second chamber through a ventilation opening in a partition wall. The third chamber is disposed below the second chamber separated by another partition wall which contains a cooling fan, the third chamber being in fluid communication with the exhaust holes. Thus, the cooling fan draws air through the inlet holes to first cool the control device in the first chamber and then to the second chamber to cool the heating device before being exhausted through the third chamber to the exhaust holes.

摘要： An optical disk drive has a positioner for mounting an optical unit, such as an objective lens and a tracking error signal detector, and a motor for moving the positioner. The positioner is moved in the radial direction of the disk by the motor through gear train. The motor is driven by a signal that includes a compensating current, and this signal controls the positioner to move in accordance with any eccentric displacement of a data track as caused by misalignments between the center of the data track and the axis of the optical disk rotation. The current is synthesized with an amplitude of the eccentricity, as detected by the tracking error signal, and a phase angle, as detected by both the error signal and an index signal indicative of a reference angular position of a spindle motor for the optical disk rotation.
