摘要： In an apparatus for capturing the image of a user, transforming the image and then printing the transformed image, the user is notified of the manner in which the image will be transformed before the image is printed. To accomplish this, the transformed image of the user is displayed on a monitor display unit before it is printed. Thus the user can verify how the transformed image will look before it is printed. According to another aspect of the invention, when a captured image is transformed and displayed, the user is allowed to set the method of transformation and the degree thereof. To this end, the image of the user is captured and loaded into the image capture apparatus. A screen for setting shape and color transformations is displayed on the display unit of the image capture apparatus. By pressing buttons on the apparatus, the user changes the position and size of a small circle in a setting chart displayed in an area of the display screen. On the basis of intersections between the circumference of the small circle and three lines, defocusing of the captured image of the user, a sepia-tone color conversion and the degree of conversion of the eyes of the image are set.

An image is captured by a camera or memory card reader. The player punches the punching ball, causing the shape of the captured image to be transformed. The larger the acceleration of the punching ball when it is punched, the greater the transformation in the shape of the captured image. The transformed image is displayed on a display unit and may be printed if desired. The player can experience a game more realistic than one in which the shape of a computer-graphics image is transformed.

摘要： An edited image is created using fonts capable of being employed by both a client computer and a server. To accomplish this, the user of the computer selects a service to be utilized. Client information, which includes the service selected, information relating to the operating system of the computer and information relating to fonts that can be utilized by the computer, is transmitted to the server. The latter creates a list of fonts that can be utilized by the computer and transmits the data of the created font list and editing home-page data to the computer. The user of the computer decides fonts to be used in the edited image from among the fonts that have been transmitted and edits the image by using these fonts. Information for editing is transmitted from the client computer to the server, where the edited image is then printed out.

摘要： In a system in which an editing server and a plurality of client computers are capable of communicating with one another, an edited image can be generated by the plurality of client computers.When image data is transmitted from the image server to the client computer, the resolution of image data to be transmitted is reduced in correspondence with the resolution of a monitor display device connected to the client computer. Further, the number of colors of an image represented by the image data is decreased in correspondence with the number of colors which can be displayed on the monitor display device. A user image to be synthesized on a template image is read in the client computer. Image data representing the template image used for the image synthesis and image data representing a mask image are transmitted from the main image server to the client computer. In the client computer, image synthesis processing is performed. Image data representing an area required for image synthesis of the user image used for the image synthesis is extracted. The extracted user image data and synthesis information required for the synthesis are transmitted from the client computer to the main image server. In the main image server, a composite image is printed.
