摘要： The image reading apparatus is provided with: a manuscript table on which a manuscript is placed; a reflection mirror that moves relative to the manuscript table, and that reflects light which is emitted to and then reflected by the manuscript placed on the manuscript table; an image data generating unit that includes plural light receiving pixels receiving the light reflected by the reflection mirror, and that generates image data on the basis of the light received by the plural light receiving pixels; and a positional information acquiring unit that acquires the image data generated by the image data generating unit with movement of the reflection mirror, and that acquires, on the basis of a density value of each pixel in the image data, information on a position of a pixel affected by an adhesion substance adhering to the reflection mirror.

摘要： A moving object detecting device includes a detecting device body that includes a detection unit formed in a chassis covering the inside of an apparatus and disposed to correspond to a monitoring window of which at least an aperture area or an aperture size is restricted and which monitors a moving object approaching the apparatus and a circuit board unit controlling a signal output from the detection unit and is disposed so that some optical axes among optical axes having detection surfaces of plural infrared detecting elements included in the detection unit, as focal points passes through the monitoring window and the other optical axes are blocked by the chassis, and an optical member that is formed in an inner wall of the chassis and that deflects the other optical axes of the infrared detection elements to pass through the monitoring window.

摘要： A toner for electrophotography contains a binder resin, a charge control agent, and a colorant. The colorant is a black iron oxide compound containing 10 to 45% by weight of titanium component calculated in terms of Ti atom in relation to Fe atom when measured by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. Peaks at Bragg angle 2θ of the toner to CuKα X-ray are peak A at 32.9 degrees ±0.3 degrees and peak B at 35.5 degrees ±0.3 degrees, and X ray intensity ratio between peaks A and B (A/B) is in the range of 0.3 to 2.0 at a scan speed of 0.5 to 4 degrees/min.

The power-supply-state transition control section shifts a state of an operation target section from one state to another state among power-supply states and a non-power-supply state.
