    • An auto-tensioner for a belt has a cylindrical body having a bottom. A nut formed with female threads on its inner periphery and having a rod integrally formed at one end is slidably mounted in the body. A bolt is mounted in the body so that its male threads will engage the female threads on the nut. A belt loading spring is mounted between the nut and the bottom of the body to urge the nut in such a direction as to increase the tension to the belt. A bolt turning spring is mounted between the nut and the bolt to urge and turn the bolt in such a direction as to be pressed against the bottom of the body or in a direction away from the nut. Thus the nut and the bolt are moved either toward or away from each other according to the load from the belt which acts on the rod so as to automatically adjust the tension to the belt.

    • A magnetic load sensor unit is provided which can detect a load with a minute movement of its part, and which is durable and less likely to be influenced by temperature. The sensor unit includes a flange member (1) deflectable when an axial load is applied, a support member (2) supporting the flange member (1), a magnetic target (3) which generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic sensor (4) for detecting the magnetic field generated by the magnetic target (3). The magnetic target (3) and the magnetic sensor (4) are fixed to the flange member (1) and the support member (2), respectively, such that when the flange member (1) is deflected, the magnetic target (3) and the magnetic sensor (4) move relative to each other, whereby magnitude of the load can be detected based on the magnetic field detected by the magnetic sensor (4).

    • A control system for a 4WD vehicle has a rotation transmission device which can prevent a two-way clutch of the rotation transmission device from vibrating by repeatedly locking and unlocking when the vehicle is started in a cold environment.
