摘要： A heat-sensitive transfer medium comprising a support and at least two heat-transferable ink layers including a first and a second ink layer. The first ink layer has relative adhesions with the second ink layer and the support which are reverse at a higher temperature from those at a lower temperature. When the heat-sensitive transfer medium is superposed with paper, a heat energy is applied, and the transfer medium is separated from the paper; the second ink layer is selectively transferred or both the first and second ink layers are transferred to the paper depending on the length of time from the heat application until the separation of the transfer medium, whereby two color images can be formed by a single transfer medium.

摘要： A heat-sensitive transfer recording method comprises superposing a heat-sensitive transfer material having a heat-transferable ink layer on a supporting member onto a medium for recording and heating said heat-transferable ink layer according to a pattern to thereby form a transfer recorded image on said medium for recording, wherein said heat-transferable ink layer comprises a layer containing fine particles of a heat-fusible resin and said heat-sensitive transfer material after heating is separated from said medium for recording within the time from when the strength of the film formed by fusion of the fine particles of the heat-fusible resin at said pattern heated portion begins to surpass that before heating until initiation of fusion of fine particles of the heat-fusible resin around the pattern heated portion by thermal diffusion to around the pattern heated portion.

Hence the prints on the recording medium are fixed rapidly at lower running costs.
