摘要： A method for editing an image on a display unit, an apparatus for executing the method and a computer program product for the method, wherein a predetermined CG object is designated in an image on the display unit, and in order to edit the image, a first command list for speech, motion, moving image reproduction or audio reproduction is displayed on the display unit, a command for editing the designated CG object is selected from the first command list and executed for the designated CG object. In the method of editing the image on the display screen and the apparatus for executing the method, the position information of the CG object located in the CG studio on the display unit and the information on the position and orientation of the camera for imaging the CG studio are read from a memory, it is determined whether the CG object selected by the pointing device is a CG character or a property, the information on the position to which the pointing icon has moved on the display unit by manipulating the pointing device is acquired, and the selected CG object is moved to the position to which the pointing icon has moved. Based on the information on the position to which the CG object has moved, the data on the character set-up window is updated in the case where the CG object is a CG character, and the data on the studio set-up window is updated in the case where the CG object is a property. The selected CG object can be dragged to the desired position by the pointing device.

The notification unit, upon detection of an image change, records the image change occurrence time. The information terminal acquires the image from the image accumulation and distribution unit or the video browsing data converter based on the change occurrence time information stored in the notification unit.

An apparatus for editing a moving image for editing an image with the aid of a computer while watching moving image information displayed on a screen includes a recording apparatus for recording moving image information, a change point detection segment for comparing adjacent frame images with each other, and recognizing that, when information is changed exceeding a predetermined quantity between adjacent frame images, the adjacent frame images are frame images belonging to different cuts, reduced images obtained from frame images constituting respective cuts and information for identifying the cuts being recorded in the recording apparatus, a control segment for generating information for identifying scene images by putting a plurality of predetermined cuts together as scene images, generating information for identifying a motion picture by collecting a plurality of predetermined scenes as a motion picture, and determining a hierarchical structure among the scenes and cuts represented by said reduced images in accordance with the selection of reduced images representing a plurality of video scenes or a plurality of video cuts constituting moving image information, a designation segment for designating reduced images related to a predetermined hierarchical structure portion in the hierarchical structure, and a display monitor for showing a hierarchical portion including designated reduced images with such an arrangement as to show the hierarchical structure.

A computer-aided editing apparatus of moving image information comprises a memory device for storing original moving image, moving images after editing processing and an edition position-associated information, an input device, an editing device for applying a special effect processing to a designated range of the original moving image read out from the memory device in accordance with an image processing program, a control device and a display device. The moving image information applied with the special effect processing is registered as one cut to the memory device and the moving image information of the original moving image outside the designated range is registered as other cuts to the memory device. The display device displays the original moving image information, symbols representing an edition start point and an edition end point inputted by the input device, the information on the special effect processing and the information on the length of the image of the cut.
