    • A luminance signal processing circuit includes a delay circuit for delaying a signal by one horizontal period, a first adder for adding an input signal and an output signal of the delay circuit, a filter circuit for passing a specified frequency band of an output of the first adder, a first coefficient circuit for multiplying an output of the filter circuit with a specified coefficient, a second adder for adding an output of the first coefficient circuit and the input signal to use the sum output signal as the input signal to the delay circuit, a subtracter for subtracting the output signal of the delay circuit from the input signal of the delay circuit, an amplitude limiter for limiting the amplitude of an output of the subtracter, and a second coefficient circuit for multiplying an output of the amplitude limter with a specified coefficient. An output signal of the second coefficient circuit is substracted from the input signal to reduce noise in the input signal, or added to the input signal to emphasize the input signal. In the presence of vertical correlation, this circuit acts as a comb filter with a varied passing range depending on frequency to effectively reduce visible noise. In the absence of vertical correlation, the output signal is hardly affected and the noise reduction is not effected, so that the vertical resolution is not lowered.

    • A multiposition controller includes a first switching element for switching on and off in accordance with a position of a movable object to be controlled and a second switching element for detecting the direction of movement of the object. The second switching element switches off when the object is positioned at one side from an initial position of the object, while it switches on when the object is positioned at the other side from the initial position of the object. Furthermore, the second switching element remains off or on when the object is positioned at the initial position. By such a simple structure, an accurate position control can be achieved.

    • A video signal recording/reproducing apparatus has, in a recording signal processing section, a first switching circuit for exchanging 2-channel component signals at intervals of nH (n: any integer, H: horizontal scanning period) to obtain two combined signals each containing the 2-channel component signals which appear alternately at periods of nH, and a first delay circuit for delaying one of the two combined signals by nH so that the same kind of signals appear at same timings in the two combined signals.     • In a video signal recording/reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing two-channel component signals, input two-channel component signals are processed separately from each other by two recording signal processing circuits to be recordable two-channel component signals. The recordable two-channel component signals are exchanged at predetermined intervals by a first switching circuit to be two combined signal each containing the recordable two-channel component signals which appear at periods corresponding to the exchanging invervals. The reproduced two combined signals are exchanged at the predetermined intervals by a second switching circuit to be the recordable two-channel component signals, which are thereafter processed separately from each other by two reproduced signal processing circuit to be the original two-channel component signals.
