摘要： A protection panel with a touch input function for an electronic instrument display window, which is excellent in reliability in an FPC connection. The panel is constituted such that the outer side face can be fitted into a panel fitting part of a casing having an aperture and kept without a gap to form a leveled plane and is configured to protect a display device provided under it externally visibly through a transparent window. A pin-equipped FPC (10) for taking out electric signals via through holes from the rear of the protective panel is characterized in that a metal pin fixation hole (10e) is bored on a film substrate (10f) and a circuit (10c) serving as a conductive part at a connection terminal (10a) of the FPC; a metal pin (14) having an axis part (14b) and a head part (14a) formed in a larger diameter than the outer diameter of the pin axis part is inserted into the metal pin fixation hole from the circuit side; a cover-lay film (10b) is stuck onto the circuit (10c) and the film substrate (10f) to cover the head part of the metal pin and also a conductive adhesive layer (21) is interposed between the circuit (10c) and the head part of the metal pin (14).

The analog type touch panel includes a touch side substrate 2 and a non-touch side substrate 3 each having resistive films 2a, 3a provided on opposed inner surfaces thereof. Through-holes 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d formed at the periphery of the non-touch side substrate 3. A connecting part 5 for electrically connecting electrodes of the resistive films 2a, 3a to an external terminal, in which a conductive paste is injected into the through-holes and a rivet 14 is inserted into each of the through-holes from the lower surface side so that a head of the rivet 14 forms flat connecting electrodes 15a, 15b for connection to the external terminal on the lower surface of the non-touch side substrate 3.

摘要： A method for fabricating a capacitive curved touch panel is provided for solving the problems of the conventional methods, i.e., unsuitableness of the methods for mass production and fabricating large touch panels and touch panels of complicated curved surface shapes. The method includes the steps of (a) preparing a patterned plate 13 by forming an electrode layer having a plurality of electrode regions 15 on a thermoplastic resin plate 11 with an electrically-conductive ink comprised of an electrically-conductive substance and a binder, (b) preparing a soft curved product 21 by heating to soften the patterned plate 13 and shaping the softened patterned plate on a die 22, and (c) cooling or allowing to cool the soft curved product to make the touch panel.
