    • A developing apparatus for electrophotography is disclosed which comprises a toner hopper as a vessel of a magnetic developer, the toner hopper having an opening formed between one side plate of the toner hopper and a developing sleeve to effect delivery and recovery of the magnetic developer, the developing sleeve being rotated from a developing zone for developing a latent image on a latent image-bearing member with the magnetic developer toward the opening and the plate of said toner hopper other than the opening being in abutting contact with the surface of the developing sleeve, a magnet roll comprising a plurality of magnets, which is rotated in the same direction as the rotation direction of the developing sleeve on the inner side of the developing sleeve, and a stopper for regulating the zone of delivery of a layer of the magnetic developer on the surface of the developing sleeve by causing the top end of the stopper to abut on or come close to the surface of the developing sleeve along the direction of the rotation axis of the developing sleeve, wherein the rotational speed of the developing sleeve and the number of rotations of the magnet roll are set so that the thickness of the layer of the magnetic developer is adjusted to a desired value.

    • Separately from an accompaniment style data memory having stored therein one or more accompaniment style data each including performance data for an automatic accompaniment, a modifying data memory is provided which has stored therein one or more modifying data sets each including style designating data for designating any of the accompaniment style data stored in said accompaniment style data memory and modification instructing data for modifying contents of the accompaniment style data designated by the style designating data.     • Disclosed is a toner recycle device for supplying recovered toner into a developing device again and reusing it. The ratio of the amount of the recovered toner to be supplied into the developing device to the amount of new toner is arbitrarily increased or reduced. Further, as the remaining amount of the new toner reduces, one or a plurality of the following three processing steps of a toner save mode are executed: (1) to increase the ratio of the amount of the recovered toner, which is supplied into the developing device, to the amount of the new toner; (2) to reduce the total amount of the recovered toner and the new toner to be supplied; and (3) to stop the new toner to be supplied into the developing device and to supply only the recovered toner. Furthermore, an ordinary mode and the toner save mode are automatically switched or arbitrarily switched manually.

When the toner cartridge is attached on or detached from the drive unit, the toner discharging hole is forced to be open and closed. The toner cartridge is formed with a destination unit for allowing the use of only the same destination in the relationship to a product.

    • A printing system for recording and erasing a visible image onto and from a recording medium presenting two states, recording and erasing, by different heating processes, comprises a temperature sensor for sensing ambient temperature, a thermal head, a circuit for computing the temperature difference between a reference ambient temperature and the ambient temperature obtained from the sensor, a circuit for controlling the electrically energizing time of the thermal head in accordance with the temperature difference obtained at the computing circuit, and means for controlling the supply voltage to the thermal head according to the temperature difference. When ambient temperature around the system is lower than the reference ambient temperature, the electrically energizing time of the thermal head is increased. When the ambient temperature is higher than the reference ambient temperature, the supply voltage to the thermal head is decreased. By recording or erasing a visible image in this way, the effect of ambient temperature is corrected, thereby making it possible to always record or erase a visible image onto or from a recording medium stably.
