摘要： The present invention relates to a liquefying alkaline .alpha.-amylase having the enzymatic properties described below, a production process thereof and a detergent composition containing the same.1) Action:It hydrolyzes .alpha.-1,4-glucosidic linkages in starches, amylose, amylopectin and partial degradation products thereof and from amylose, forms glucose (G1), maltose (G2), maltotriose (G3), maltotetraose (G4), maltopentaose (G5) and maltohexaose (G6). It however does not act on pullulan.2) Isoelectric point:It has an isoelectric point higher than 8.5 when measured by an isoelectric focusing electrophoresis.The amylase according to the present invention has a liquefying activity capable of permitting degrading starches and starchy polysaccharides at high random, and has an optimum pH on the alkaline side. Owing to the high isoelectric point, it can be purified readily. Detergents with the amylase incorporated therein have excellent detergency especially against the soil of smeared food.

摘要： The present invention relates to a novel enzyme called alkaline proteinase K-16 that is characterized as having an optimum pH in an alkaline range, and stability in the presence of various surface active agents, such as sodium linear alkylbenzene sulfonate, sodium polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfate, sodium dodecyl sulfate, sodium .alpha.-olefin sulfonate, sodium alkyl sulfonate, and .alpha.-sulfo-fatty acid ester. The present invention further provides for a microorganism producing the novel alkaline proteinase, and a process for producing the novel alkaline proteinase. Alkaline proteinase K-16 of the present invention exhibits an excellent action against insoluble proteins and maintains sufficient activity over a wide temperature range and in the presence of surface active agents thus providing a use as an enzyme for detergents.

摘要： A mutant of an extracellular enzyme-producing microorganism belonging to genus Bacillus, which is resistant to a cell membrane synthesis inhibitor, including vancomycin and ristocetin, is disclosed. The cell membrane synthesis inhibitor-resistant mutant can produce such an enzyme as cellulase, protease, or amylase about 2 to 4 times of the parent strain. Such a mutant can be produced by subjecting an extracellular enzyme-producing microorganism tot a mutation treatment, and culturing said microorganism in a culture medium containing a cell membrane synthesis inhibitor.

摘要： The heat source 1 comprises a bag 10 and a heat-generating composition 20 containing aluminum powder, calcium hydroxide powder and calcium oxide powder, enclosed in the bag 10. The bag 10 is formed by a packing material made of a base material of nonwoven fabric of which one surface is laminated with a watertight layer. The packing material is punched with a plurality of pinholes and has a water permeable rate of 13 to 81 milliliter/min/1 cm2 measured when head of water is 27 cm. The heat source 1 can satisfy preferable heating conditions including rate of temperature rise of the food, risen temperature of the food, duration of the risen temperature of the food under conditions in which a food heating device is conventionally used. Accordingly, a food heating device using the heat source capable of causing a rapid and stable heat-generating reaction can be provided.
