摘要： A wick arrangement for an anesthetic evaporator includes a wick with a carrier material (2) that is essentially impermeable to gas provided with wick material (3, 4) on both sides. A great path length is provided for saturating the gas with anesthetic vapor in the smallest possible installation volume by providing flow channels such as helical flow channels (10, 11) extending helically on both sides of the wick. The gas flow is led in counterflow in the flow channels (10, 11) by a housing (9).

摘要： The invention is directed to a filling arrangement for filling and emptying an anesthetic vaporizer with an anesthetic liquid from a supply vessel via a filling channel and a venting channel. The filling arrangement includes a connecting piece for connecting the arrangement to the anesthetic vaporizer and has a blocking device mounted in a conduit member which includes the filling channel and venting channel. The filling arrangement is improved so that it can be reliably handled with anesthetic liquids having a low boiling point. For this purpose, the blocking device includes a temperature-sensitive switching member which enables the filling channel to be opened below a preselected limit temperature and to be closed above this preselected temperature. The preselected temperature is below the boiling point of the anesthetic liquid.

摘要： A process for calibrating a flow sensor in a respiratory system, with final control elements arranged in the respiratory system for influencing the respiration gas stream, is to be improved in terms of the influence of the qualitative gas composition of the respiration gas. To accomplish the task, the final control elements 4, 11 are switched, for calibration, over to a closed respiratory system with directed respiration gas stream. The drive unit 13 feeds the respiration gas present in the respiratory system through the flow sensor 9 according to a predetermined time-volume relationship. A calibration value for the flow sensor 9 is formed by comparison of the time-volume relationship with the measured signal of the flow sensor 9.
