    • The invention relates to a folding top for motor vehicles with a dimensionally stable rear window which, when the top is opened, can be folded down from an upright, position of use into a flat position of non-use. The top cover encloses the rear window and is connected along the lower edge side of the rear window and laterally thereto to a material retaining section arranged at the lower termination of the top. The rear window exhibits an axis of articulation extending approximately parallel to the lower edge side of the rear window which is displaced rearwards relative to the material retaining section during movement of the rear window toward a position of non-use. The axis of articulation is arranged to be displaceable to ensure the displaceability of the rear window. In order also to permit appropriate rearward displacement of the rear window with top arrangements in which the lower edge side of the rear window extends at a relatively short distance from the material retaining hoop when the top is closed, the top cover is provided on both sides of the rear window with a fabric zone of variable length, the fabric zones being capable of being drawn apart by the rearward displacement of the rear window when the folding top is laid flat and being capable of shortening to their initial length when the folding top is erected into the closed position of use.

    • A hosted list service provider (“HLSP”) provides list management services for compliance purposes. The HLSP receives electronic consent information from an enterprise that may comprise a telephone number and stores the same in at least one database, to facilitate retrieving the electronic consent information for a particular telephone number. A telephone number list is provided to a call center, which can originate calls for a calling campaign using the telephone numbers on behalf of the enterprise. After the campaign is completed, the call center may provide data to the HLSP indicating which callers have requested to opt-out, and the HLSP updates its databases appropriately. The HLSP may process the telephone number data against other databases, and may inform the enterprise of called parties that have requested a change of status. Follow up communication can occur to the called party to confirm or re-establish consent for subsequent calls.

A wireless application protocol allows the display management system to read and write display data, as well as control various administrative functions. Typical applications include remote updating of prices for goods in a retail environment, such as a grocery store, but the display tag can used for other applications, such as a portable display device to display text, graphical, or animated displays for consumers, industrial, shipping, marketing, or other applications.

    • A system including capabilities for identifying, authenticating and/or tracking pharmaceutical drugs contained in a package from the point of manufacture to the point of retail sale or dispensing. One embodiment utilizes radio frequency (RFID) tags imbedded into the packaging, the RFID tags containing information identifying at least the package to the manufacturer of the package. A computer system uses an encryption algorithm to produce a machine readable indicia affixed to the packaging after the contents are sealed. Thereafter, various systems can read the RFID tag and the encrypted data at various points in the supply chain and may initiate a query to a manufacturer's database to determine whether the packaging and encrypted data match values stored in the database. This can be used in part to verify the authenticity of the package as well as indicate other functions affecting the sale of the package or dispensing the contents.

    • A calling-party-pays gateway operative for billing a surcharge for a telecommunication service to an account associated with a calling line number. The calling-party-pays gateway is configured for connection between a telephone system and a switch servicing a group of terminating stations such that all communications directed to terminating stations serviced by the switch are routed through the gateway. When the gateway receives a connection request defining a communication directed to a terminating station serviced by the switch, the gateway determines whether the terminating station is associated with an account that requires the surcharge to be billed to the account associated with the calling line number. If the terminating station is associated with an account that requires the surcharge to be billed to the account associated with the calling line number, the gateway determines whether the account associated with the calling line number is pre-approved to receive the surcharge. If the account associated with the calling line number is pre-approved to receive the surcharge, the gateway routes the communication to the terminating station and creates an accounting record billing the surcharge to the account associated with the calling line number.
