摘要： An elevator rescue system allows an elevator car of an elevator to be moved in an emergency situation. The elevator includes an elevator motor acting on hoisting ropes by which the elevator car is suspended including at least one electro-mechanical brake and an encoder outputting a signal corresponding to its speed. The rescue system includes a back-up power source, a jerk monitoring circuit connected to the encoder and including a memory storing an upper threshold value for the derivative of car acceleration, a brake feed circuit controlled by the jerk monitoring circuit, and a release switch connected to the jerk monitoring circuit and/or to the brake feed circuit. The release switch activates the brake feed circuit to release the brake, and initiate the jerk monitoring circuit to compare the derivative of car acceleration derived from the encoder signal with the stored first upper threshold value, and forwards a control signal to the brake feed circuit to initiate/stop braking depending on the comparison result.

The method includes obtaining measurement data of the ongoing run, which measurement data describes vertical speed and/or vertical acceleration of the vertically moving elevator car, determining whether the measurement data meets one or more predetermined criteria indicating unintended vertical speed and/or unintended vertical acceleration, and changing the speed settings of the current run by lowering the constant target speed from a first constant target speed to a second constant target speed if the measurement data meets said one or more predetermined criteria, continuing the run without intermediate stops to said destination landing. An elevator is provided to implement the method.

摘要： A braking apparatus is provided for braking the rotating part of a hoisting machine. The braking apparatus includes one or more brakes, which contain altogether at least one movable brake shoe, spring elements for activating the brake by moving the brake shoe forward, at least two electromagnets, which, when magnetized by a magnetizing current, apply a force of attraction to bodies conducting magnetic flux. The electromagnets are fitted to release the brake by pulling the brake shoe backwards by resisting the spring elements. The brake is fitted to be activated by reducing the magnetizing current of the electromagnet. The braking apparatus includes a power supply circuit for the electromagnets, which contains controllable power supply interrupting devices. The electromagnets are connected to the power supply circuit in such a way that the supply of magnetizing current to each electromagnet can be interrupted by means of at least two different interrupting devices.
