    • A motherboard test device includes a motherboard and a connection module. The motherboard includes a basic input output system (BIOS) chip, a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) chip, and a motherboard connector. The connection module includes a test connector connected to the motherboard connector, a first port connected to random access memory (RAM) of the BIOS chip, and a second port connected to the CPLD chip. A RAM simulator updates or tests BIOS programs stored in the RAM by connecting to the first port. A personal computer (PC) can electronically communicate with the CPLD chip by connecting a parallel interface of the PC to the second port.

    • A solid state disk assembly includes a solid state disk, a first heat conducting member and a second heat conducting member. The solid state disk includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and a chipset. The PCB includes a front surface, a rear surface, a first end, and a second end. The chipset is mounted on the front surface. The first heat conducting member abuts the chipset for absorbing heat generated by the solid state disk and includes at least a pair of elastic arms. The second heat conducting member attaches on the rear surface and includes at least a pair of engaging arms spatially corresponding to the at least one pair of elastic arms. The first end and the second end are clamped between the at least one pair of elastic arms. Each elastic arm engages with a respective one of the engaging arms.

    • A fan control circuit of a computer includes a fan interface connected to a connector of a fan, a fan controller, a NOT gate, and an electronic switch. The fan controller outputs a PWM signal to the fan interface to control the operation of the fan, and includes a GPIO interface to output a voltage control signal to the NOT gate to switch the electronic switch on or off. A signal output of the electronic switch is connected to the fan interface. The voltage control signal is high level at the start up moment of the computer, and thus does not turn on the fan via the electronic switch. After a preset delay period, the voltage control signal is turned low by the fan controller so that the fan interface receives the PWM signal.

    • A fan control circuit of a computer includes a fan interface connected to a connector of a fan, a fan controller and an electronic switch chip. The fan controller outputs a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to the fan interface to control the operation of the fan, and includes a general purpose input/output (GPIO) interface to output a voltage control signal to the electronic switch chip to switch the electronic switch chip on or off. The voltage control signal is at a low level at the start up moment of the computer, and thus does not turn on the fan via the electronic switch chip. After a preset delay period, the voltage control signal becomes a high-level signal under the control of the fan controller so that the fan interface receives the PWM signal.

    • A protection system includes a baseboard management controller (BMC), N fans, a power on unit, a power supply, and a switching unit. The switching unit includes an AND gate, a transistor, and a first resistor. During operation the fans each output an operating signal to the BMC. The BMC counts the operating signals received. When the count is less than N, the power-off pin outputs a low level signal, so that the output pin of the AND gate outputs a low level signal, and the transistor turns off. The power supply then receives a high level signal and stops supplying power.
