摘要： A method of wireless communication of a wireless device includes receiving a signal indicating WWAN resources that can be utilized for communicating peer discovery signals. In addition, the method includes communicating an OFDM peer discovery signal in the WWAN resources. A method of wireless communication of a base station includes transmitting a signal to a wireless device indicating WWAN resources dedicated for a silence interval that can be utilized for communicating peer discovery signals. The WWAN resources dedicated for a silence interval include a first subset of resources and a second subset of resources. The method further includes measuring noise in the first subset of resources and refraining from measuring noise in the second subset of resources.

A wireless power transfer system include a transmit circuit with a transmit antenna driven from a power amplifier to generate a near field radiation at a resonant frequency within a first coupling mode region surrounding the transmit antenna. Each repeater antenna generates an enhanced near field radiation at the resonant frequency within a coupling mode region corresponding to that repeater antenna. One or more receive circuits including a receive antenna receive power when they are disposed in one of the coupling mode regions corresponding to that repeater antenna.

摘要： In a data communication system capable of variable rate transmission, high rate packet data transmission improves utilization of the forward link and decreases the transmission delay. Data transmission on the forward link is time multiplexed and the base station transmits at the highest data rate supported by the forward link at each time slot to one mobile station. The data rate is determined by the largest C/I measurement of the forward link signals as measured at the mobile station. Upon determination of a data packet received in error, the mobile station transmits a NACK message back to the base station. The NACK message results in retransmission of the data packet received in error. The data packets can be transmitted out of sequence by the use of sequence number to identify each data unit within the data packets.

In an embodiment, an access point may replace information (e.g., data) transmission by a “known” transmission (or “reference transmission”) at a predetermined time known to access terminals in the corresponding sectors. The access terminals may use the received reference transmission to perform a position-location measurement, and report back the measured information. The access point may also send a reference transmission on demand, e.g., in response to a request from an access terminal in need for a location-based service.

In an aspect, an apparatus is provided for generating modified timestamps. 摘要： Methods and apparatus used in a wireless communication system. A data request message may be periodically transmitting by a mobile station to a base station. The data request message may provide information about orthogonal codes to be used by the base station to communicate with the mobile station. The mobile station may receive data transmitted by the base station, the data being transmitted by the base station based on the information about the orthogonal codes provided in the data request message. The information about the orthogonal codes may be based on a quality measure made by the mobile station on a forward link pilot channel from the base station to the mobile station.
