    • A resin composition is disclosed, comprising a thermoplastic resin and a brightening agent, wherein the brightening agent is a scaly brightening agent having an average particle size of from 10 to less than 20 .mu.m and is added in an amount of of from 1 to 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin; or the brightenng agent is a scaly brightening agent having an average particle size of from 20 to 50 .mu.m and is added in an amount satisfying the relationship S.ltoreq.5A+15 (wherein S is the average particle size thereof (.mu.m) and A is the addition amount (parts by weight) of the brightening agent per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin). The resin composition and the resin molded product obtained therefrom give an excellent bright-feeling because the decrease of appearance quality caused by the extraordinary orientation of a scaly brightening agent is minimized.
