摘要： A remote operation system comprises an image forming apparatus and a remote operation apparatus. The image forming apparatus has an operation input part including a touch panel and a hardware key and a transmission part for transmitting synthesizable area information indicating a synthesizable area in a candidate screen (first screen) of the remote operation screen to the remote operation apparatus. The first screen is a screen including a touch panel area and a hardware key area, and the synthesizable area is defined in the synthesizable area information as an area not including a hardware key image. The remote operation apparatus generates a second screen by synthesizing an additional image to be added to the first screen into the synthesizable area of the first screen on the basis of the synthesizable area information and displays the second screen on the display part as the remote operation screen.

摘要： An image forming apparatus comprises: a display which allows users to connect a first icon to a second icon on a first screen and is capable of displaying the first screen with a still image of the first icon in motion and a second screen matching an event; a completion detector which detects completion of the connecting operation; a processor which performs an operation predetermined for the first and second icon when the connecting operation is completed; an event detector which detects occurrence of an event during the connecting operation; and a controller which performs, if an event occurs before completion of the connecting operation, a control operation consisting of: storing composition information of the first screen with a still image of the first icon in motion; interrupting the first screen; and reproducing the first screen after disappearance of the second screen on the basis of the composition information.

摘要： An image processing system performs a specific process on first image data to generate second image data, and estimates, if it is specified that the second image data is to be stored into a portable storage medium, a necessary time for the second image data to be generated. If the necessary time is longer than a predetermined period of time, depending on a selection made by a user, the image processing system stores the second image data into the portable storage medium after the second image data is completely generated, or, alternatively, stores, identification information including a storage location of the second image data into the portable storage medium, and then, stores the second image data into an image data storage portion. The image processing system, then, transmits, to a terminal, the second image data stored in the image data storage portion in accordance with a request from the terminal.
