    • An electronic card capable of changing communication functionality of a coupled electronic device is disclosed. A removable interface has at least a card detection pin which is set at a first state or a second state based on the coupled electronic device. A functional module provides a communication functionality via an access bus or a specific application bus based on whether the card detection pin is at the first state or the second state. A bridge is provided for bridging and converting signals of the interface bus on the removable interface into signals of the access bus or the specific application bus, or vice versa. A multiplexer device selects signals of the access bus or signals of the specific application bus based on whether the card detection pin is at the first state or the second state for being switched to the interface bus.

    • A multi-functional electronic card capable of detecting removable cards includes at least one functional device, a controller, a host interface, and a removable card interface. The host interface has a card detecting pin fixed at a level representing that a card is inserted. The removable card interface has an elastic switch connected to the device detecting pin of the controller. The controller detects event and status of a card insertion and removal by a level change of the device detecting pin for setting the event and status in a status register, and informs the host device through the host interface so that the host device reads the status register to determine whether the removable card is inserted or removed.

    • There is disclosed a global positioning system electronic card capable of dynamically plugging navigation information, which includes a multi-interface controller, a dynamic insertion/removal card interface for being dynamically inserted with a memory card stored with map data, a GPS module, and a host interface. When the memory card is inserted into the dynamic insertion/removal card interface, the dynamic insertion/removal card interface notifies the multi-interface controller for further informing the host device through the host interface to read the map data in the memory card, thereby displaying a corresponding map. After determining the positioning coordinate, the GPS module notifies the multi-interface controller for further informing the host device through the host interface to read the positioning coordinate determined by the GPS module, which is compared with the map data read previously, thereby labeling a coordinate position on the map.
