In the liquid crystal panel including upper and lower substrates and a liquid crystal interposed therebetween, first and second domains are divided via a slit and a pair of side edges, wherein the side edges are bent so that the central region of the pixel electrode is a first distance from a common electrode and the side edges are a second distance from the common electrode. Under an electric field, portions of a liquid crystal in the first and second domains show different orientational alignments.

The liquid crystal display device further includes a line memory that outputs a data signal to a data integrated circuit by dividing the data signal into at least two data signals to increase a data processing speed.
