    • A valve insert for a cylinder valve for connecting an LPG tank to a gas consuming appliance has a body member mounted in the outlet end of the cylinder valve and a valve element slidable in the body member and cooperable therewith to control the flow of gas from the tank to the appliance.     • A liquid level responsive shut-off valve for filling a tank, such as a liquid propane tank, comprises a valve housing having an inlet passageway for connection to a source of liquid under pressure, an outlet passageway opening into the tank, and a diaphragm actuated valve element having open and closed positions respectively opening and closing. the inlet passageway to the flow of liquid therethrough to the outlet passageway and tank.     • A coupling for connecting a cylinder valve on an LPG tank to the inlet of a pressure regulator for gas consuming equipment comprises a nipple having an upstream end for connection with the cylinder valve and a downstream end for connection with the pressure regulator, and a plastic coupling nut for connecting the nipple to the cylinder valve. The end wall of the coupling nut has a metal heat transfer washer on the inner side thereof, and a pressure responsive flexible shutoff valve plate is provided in the nipple passageway. The shutoff valve plate closes the passageway in response to a pressure differential thereacross of no more than 15 psi, and the end wall of the coupling nut and the heat transfer washer are responsive to a temperature of between 240° F. and 300° F. to release the nipple for displacement away from the cylinder valve in the direction downstream of the nipple.
