    • A developing device that attaches/detaches to/from a main body of an image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging roller to rotate while contacting the photosensitive drum to charge a surface of the photosensitive drum to a uniform potential, and a separating member to rotate between a first position where the charging roller is separated from the photosensitive drum and a second position where the charging roller contacts the photosensitive drum. The separating member includes a body into which a rotary shaft of the charging roller is inserted to be rotatable, and a contact portion extending from the body and contacting the surface of the photosensitive drum when the separating member is located at the first position so as to separate the charging roller from the photosensitive drum, wherein the contact portion includes a friction member including rubber.

    • A developing device has a housing including a toner container containing toner, and a developing unit. The developing unit includes a developing roller and a photoconductive drum, and a barrier member including a toner supply window. The barrier member is combined with the housing to separate the toner container and the developing unit from each other. The developing unit also includes a blocking film that is attached to the barrier member to block the toner supply window. An end of the blocking film is exposed outside the housing through an opening formed in a sidewall of the housing. A bottom surface and first and second side surfaces of the barrier member are attached to a bottom surface and first and second side surfaces of the housing by using a welding process, and a distance between the first and second side surfaces of the barrier member and a distance between the first and second side surfaces of the housing increase from bottom to top.

    • A developing unit includes a waste toner housing having an upper housing and a lower housing which face each other, at least one support unit to allow connection between the upper and lower housings, and to support facing surfaces of the upper and lower housings, and a toner housing which is disposed on a lower part of the waste toner housing and is spaced apart from the waste toner housing at a predetermined distance. Accordingly, the waste toner housing is prevented from being deformed by heat and pressure, and thus white lines on images, flowback of waste toner and insufficient cleaning, which are caused by interference with the light path due to deformation of the waste toner housing, can be reduced. Additionally, tolerance can be greatly reduced as a result of resolving the problem of deformation of the waste toner housing, so a developing unit having a smaller size can be provided.
