The frame is die cast using diamagnetic zinc having a high forming accuracy, thereby preventing an electromagnetic force of the linear motor from being leaked therethrough, and enabling a reduction in the number of machining times thereof after die casting.

The linear motor includes an outer core, a bobbin mounted in the outer core, a coil wound on the bobbin, an inner core spaced apart from the outer core to define a gap therebetween, the inner core being mounted to linearly reciprocate simultaneously with the piston, a magnet holder mounted on the inner core, and a magnet mounted in the magnet holder. The linear compressor has a simplified structure, resulting in a reduced number of parts and low manufacturing costs.
