    • The present invention is a seat height adjustment mechanism for exercise equipment having a seat. Examples of such exercise equipment include: stationary exercise bicycles; road or mountain type bicycles; resistance strength training supporting racks or platforms (e.g., preacher curl benches, military or shoulder press racks, etc.) for use with free weights; and resistance strength training machines that employ as resistance weight plates, deflectable members, elastic bands, springs, hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, etc. The mechanism comprises a member, a telescopic member, and an engagement member. The member extends upwardly and includes a rack. The telescopic member includes a first end telescopically received in the member and a seat end. The engagement member is coupled to the telescopic member and adapted to engage the rack.

    • Aspects of the present invention relate to a weight stack including a weight selector mechanism providing an adjustable source of resistance for use with a variety of load bearing exercise devices. The weight stack can include a plurality of weight plates stacked one on top of another. The weight selection mechanism can include a weight selector member extending through and adapted to selectively connect with each weight plate. The weight selector member can include a plurality of projections adapted to selectively engage engagement surfaces in the weight plates. A user can rotate the weight selector member with a selector knob to connect the desired number of weights to be lifted with the weight selector member. Embodiments of the weight stack can also include a locking mechanism that prevent a user from turning the weight selector member once a sufficient lifting force is applied to the selected weight plates.

    • Embodiments herein provide systems, devices, and methods for splitting logs, wood, and other materials. A splitting device safety feature is disclosed, the safety feature comprising a safety locking mechanism that generally requires operation or activation by at least one hand of a user and an activation mechanism which generally requires activation or use with the other hand of a user. Both mechanisms are required to be activated, each by at least one hand of a user, in a simultaneous manner in order to activate at least some features. For example, a safety lock out mechanism is provided that prevents or blocks the activation of the device from initiating log splitting processes. Therefore, two distinct features requiring the use of at least one hand of a user are required to be activated or operated in order to perform log splitting functions.
