    • A system for determining the concentration of an analyte in at least one body fluid in body tissue comprises an infrared light source, a body tissue interface, a detector, and a central processing unit. The body tissue interface is adapted to contact body tissue and to deliver light from the infrared light source to the contacted body tissue. The detector is adapted to receive spectral information corresponding to infrared light transmitted through the portion of body tissue being analyzed and to convert the received spectral information into an electrical signal indicative of the received spectral information. The central processing unit is adapted to compare the electrical signal to an algorithm built upon correlation with the analyte in body fluid, the algorithm adapted to convert the received spectral information into the concentration of the analyte in at least one body fluid.

    • A method, system and computer program are useful for enforcement of business application security rules in connection with applications external to the business application. To support secured access to data stored in a database system managed by a business application, a rule directed from the business application to a database system specifying security criteria for access to the data is received. A database view to select a subset of the data in accordance with the security criteria is then created, and a representation of the database view is stored in the database system to support the secured access to the subset of the data in connection with a query from the application external to the business application. When the query is then received, the user is identified along with a specification of the database view to return the subset of the data authorized by the security criteria for that user.

    • A data processing and analysis system, and a method of using the same, for discovering implicit relationships in data. The method is executed in a computer system capable of receiving input data comprised of expert knowledge, empirical data, and user-defined constraints for any application domain. The system and method provide any pre-processing the input data may require, and perform feature selection and extraction on the input data. Further, the system and method generate a graphical representation of the implicit relationships in the input data, indicating relationships between both class variables and feature variables. Also generated is a classifier that provides a semantic and statistical justification of its classification results which further provides: statistical relevancy of the data set, including an indication of the undersampled regions of the data space; a data analysis specific to a desired level of confidence; and a sound decision theoretical foundation for classification thresholding. The system and method generate a classifier capable of classifying a sample with respect to any variable, handle missing data values, and provide a complete data analysis.
