    • A virtual zero delay unidirectional high voltage logic to low voltage CMOS logic voltage level translator can be achieved using a capacitive voltage divider coupled with the standard protection diodes commonly incorporated in low side logic (e.g. Xilinx Spartan-3E FPGA's). The complete voltage level translator will work equally well on frequencies from DC up to the rated operational frequency of the driver and receiver. Load side parasitic CMOS input capacitance in this case is ironically an asset rather than a liability since it can be used effectively as one element of the capacitive voltage divider. High voltage logic (e.g. 0 to 5V) can thus interface to lower voltage CMOS logic (e.g. 2.5V or 3.3V) with a minimum of additional external components and with virtually zero time delay.

    • An improved impeller for a centrifugal pump is disclosed. The impeller is particularly suited for use in pumps in which a high head is required and in which only low shear forces must be applied to the fluid moving through the pump. The impeller comprises vanes which sweep an arc around an impeller axis to provide a smooth path past the impeller and through the pump. The vanes of the impeller are formed to cause the fluid moving over the vanes to apply a hydrodynamic force to the vane that opposes the force applied to the vane by fluid as the vane urges fluid through the pump. An impeller according to this invention does not require the supporting structures that are required by known impellers.

    • The present invention is a general structural member assembly. A basic structural unit of the present invention has two adjacent shafts, both further having a cross sectionally triangular shape with a longitudinal side completely or substantially mostly removed to form legs. The leg ends are formed or machined such that they present two outward surfaces generally parallel to the the open face of a first adjacent shaft. The outward surfaces of the leg ends are then positionally fixed, albeit with some flexible movement in some embodiments, to generally have a parallel and longitudinal interface with the longitudinal outside edges of a solid side of a second shaft. Additional shafts may be added in this open side opposed to solid side assembly.
