摘要： A three-dimensional camouflage fabric is produced in a multi-head quilting machine by sewing a multiplicity of transversely spaced, elongated strips of relatively narrow fabric on a relatively wide web of a substrate fabric along laterally spaced lines of attachment positioned between the side edges of the strips. The strips are attached to the substrate in a longitudinal wrinkled condition, giving the strips a three-dimensional contour. The side edges of the strips are formed in an irregular pattern, with edge patterns of adjacent strips being different. The edges of the strips desirably overlap so as to enhance the three-dimensional appearance. The strips can be wrinkled by feeding the strips at a faster rate than the substrate. This can be achieved by a spring feeding mechanism or by sewing the strips at an inclined angle to the substrate.

摘要： A sofa-sleeper includes a stationary sofa frame having a front, back and opposed sides, and a sofa bed mechanism including pivotally interconnected head, body, intermediate and foot frame sections which are extendable to form a bed and foldable within the sofa frame to form a seat. The sofa bed mechanism is removably mounted upon the stationary sofa frame by dove-tail shaped brackets mounted on opposed sides of the sofa frame, and a pair of tapered mounting plates pivotally connected on opposite sides of the sofa bed mechanism to the head and body frame sections. The tapered mounting plates of the sofa bed mechanism are adapted to slide into the dove-tail shaped brackets of the sofa frame, and are releasably locked therein by a tab formed on each mounting plate which snap fits within a mating slot formed in each bracket.

摘要： A bed frame for a sofa-sleeper including pivotally interconnected head, body, intermediate and foot sections, each having a pair of opposed side rails adapted to support an overlying link fabric frame and mattress, which are movable between a retracted position in which the bed frame is contained within the sofa frame of the sofa-sleeper and an extended position in which the bed frame extends outwardly to form a bed. The bed frame is provided with a U-shaped cross brace to enhance lateral stability which is pivotally mounted at each end to a side rail for pivotal movement between a position beneath the link fabric and mattress, in the extended position of the bed frame, so as to avoid contact with persons lying on the sofa bed, and a folded position wherein the cross brace is disposed immediately adjacent the link fabric with the bed frame in a retracted position within the sofa frame.

摘要： A sofa sleeper having a foldable bed frame connected by a collapsible frame support linkage with a sofa frame. The collapsible frame support linkage includes a novel styling structure that permits the pitch of the seat, when the bed frame is in the sofa position, to be adjusted as desired. This styling structure, in preferred form, includes a styling link incorporated in the collapsible frame support linkage that cooperates with a vertically adjustable styling bolt mounted on the sofa frame. The abutment position of the styling link against the styling bolt, which position depends on the vertical location of the styling bolt relative to ground, determines the collapsed position of the collapsible frame support linkage, thereby establishing the seat pitch of the sofa.
