    • Methods and apparatus for modular building utilities systems and assemblies for a building are provided. A modular system may include a first assembly having a duct, inlet piping, and outlet piping coupled via a bracket in a first positional relationship, where the inlet piping and outlet piping are disposed exterior to the duct. The modular system may also include a second assembly that may also have a duct, inlet piping, and outlet piping coupled via a bracket in a second positional relationship, where the inlet piping and outlet piping are also disposed exterior to the duct. The first positional relationship of the first assembly and the second positional relationship of the second assembly may provide alignment between the respective ducts, inlet piping, and outlet piping to facilitate coupling of the first and second assemblies.

A zone control unit can include a return air section that receives return air from serviced building zones and can mix the return air with a supply of outside air. The mixed air can be heated and/or cooled by the zone control unit and discharged to serviced building zones in a controlled manner. An exhaust air system can be used to extract air from serviced building zones. An HVAC zone control unit can include a local control unit with an Internet protocol address. The local control unit can include a memory and a processor for storing and executing a control program for the zone control unit. The control program can control of the zone control unit in response to commands received via the Internet.

    • The invention comprises a method for controlling quality in a piping system, including a valve and a piping structure coupled to the valve. The method comprises the following: pressurize the piping structure with a gas at greater than sea-level pressure; seal the gas in the piping structure with the valve; determine whether the gas stays within the piping structure; determine that gas leaks from the piping structure; and identify the location of a leak from the piping structure. The invention further comprises a method for identifying a component. The method comprises the following: indicate identification information on a tag regarding the piping structure; and attach the tag to the piping structure.
