摘要： A method and system for identifying a key blank corresponding to a master key is provided. The system includes a housing. A first source of uniform light is fixed relative to the housing. A second source of uniform light is fixed relative to the housing and is disposed opposite the first source of uniform light such that the master key is disposable therebetween. The first and second sources of uniform light are operable to generate an image of the master key. A receiver captures the image of the master key. A control having a memory configured to store information on a plurality of key blanks identifies the key blank corresponding to the master key based on the captured image.

The second luminous surface is disposed opposite the first luminous surface such that the master key is disposable therebetween. The first and second luminous surfaces are operable to generate an image of the master key. A receiver is provided to capture the image of the master key. The system also includes a control having a memory that stores information on a plurality of key blanks. The control is operable to identify the key blank corresponding to the master key based on the image captured by the receiver.

摘要： A system and method for identifying a key blank from a master key is provided. The system includes a housing, a first source of uniform light fixed relative to the housing, and a second source of uniform light fixed relative to the housing and disposed at an angle relative to the first source of uniform light. A reflecting device is proviced that has a reflective surface and a transparent surface. The reflecting surface is configured to reflect light generated by the second source of uniform light towards the first source of uniform light such that when a master key is disposed in the housing, the first source of uniform light generates a profile image of the master key and the second source of uniform light illuminates a surface of the master key. A receiver is operable to capture an image of the master key through the transparent surface of the reflecting device.

摘要： A low thermal expansion glass includes a base glass material having a front surface, a back surface, and a thickness and a glass coating material applied on at least the front surface of the base glass material. The base glass material consists essentially 10 wt % to 20 wt % titania and 80 wt % to 90 wt % silica. The glass coating material also consists essentially of titania and silica, but the total amount of titania in the glass coating material is lower than the total amount of titania in the base glass material. A silica-titania glass element suitable for extreme ultraviolet lithography applications consists of 12 wt % to 20 wt % titania and 80 wt % to 88 wt % silica and has a coefficient of thermal expansion of essentially 0 ΔL/L in a temperature range of −20° C. to +100° C.

摘要： A key cutting machine includes a cutter wheel, a key follower and a key positioning fixture for retaining a master key and a key blank in defined positions. Longitudinal and lateral displacement elements displace the cutter wheel and the key blank relative to each other. First and second electronic position sensors generate cutter wheel longitudinal and lateral position signals which electrically define the position of the cutter wheel relative to the key blank blade. A mode control system selectively operates the key cutting machine in either an analog mode where the bit notch pattern of a master key is mechanically traced and duplicated in the key blade blank or in a digital mode in which an electronically defined bit notch pattern is electrically duplicated in the key blank blade without reference to or tracing the master key bit notch pattern.

In some embodiments, deuterium is present in an amount greater than its natural isotopic abundance. The method includes the steps of providing a fused silica boule, diffusing at least one of protium and deuterium into the boule, and annealing the boule to form the fused silica article. A method of diffusing hydrogen into fused silica and a fused silica article loaded with hydrogen formed by the method are also described.

摘要： A system and method for inscribing an item is provided. The system includes a housing having a door, an inscriber, and a support. The inscriber is disposed in the housing and is operable to inscribe the surface of an item secured in an item carrier. The support has a positioning structure that is configured to engage the item carrier and establish a reference point so that the location of the surface of the item with respect to the support is determinable. The support moves between a loading position and an inscribing position to position the item for inscribing. There is also provided a controller that governs the movements of the inscriber and includes an input device. The input device is moveable between a first position to receive characteristics about the item to be inscribed and a second position to receive a message to be inscribed on the surface of the item. There is further provided an item carrier that is configured to securely hold an item to be inscribed and includes a second positioning structure. The second positioning structure is engageable with the first positioning structure of the inscribing device to position the item carrier and item on the support of the inscribing device so that an inscription inscribed on the item will be correctly orientated on the item.
