摘要： To recover chromium and other metals from scrap such as superalloy scrap, the scrap is sulfided to provide a molten matte which is cooled and fragmented, the fragments are leached selectively in an aqueous solution with chlorine at a controlled temperature and with agitation while controlling chlorine flow by redox potential to provide the major portion of the chromium in the leach residue and dissolving other valuable metals present as chlorides and thereafter recovering the chromium from the solid.

摘要： A method of tracking and reporting the velocity of a hand-held paint spray gun. The object to be painted is placed in a room having one or more fiducial walls. A camera is installed on the spray gun, with its field of view toward the one or more fiducial walls. As the object is painted, the camera detects fiducials, calculates their current position, and compares current positions to previous locations to determine movement and velocity. The current velocity is compared to a stored target velocity, and audible or visible feedback is provided to the spray gun operator.

摘要： A process for the extraction of copper from a sulphide ore or concentrate comprises the steps of subjecting the ore or concentrate to pressure oxidation in the presence of oxygen and an acidic solution containing halide and sulphate ions to obtain a resulting pressure oxidation slurry. The slurry is subjected to a liquid/solid separation step to obtain a resulting pressure oxidation filtrate and a solid residue containing an insoluble basic metal sulphate salt. The basic metal sulphate salt is leached in a second leaching with an acidic sulphate solution to dissolve the basic metal salt to produce a leach liquor containing a metal sulphate, e.g. copper sulphate, in solution and a resulting solid residue. The leach liquor is separated from the solid residue and subjected to a solvent extraction process to produce metal concentrate solution and a metal depleted raffinate. At least a portion of the raffinate is recycled to the pressure oxidation after being subjected to evaporation.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for moving a toilet seat between a lowered position immediately above a toilet bowl and a raised position above the toilet bowl to assist a physically disabled person to use a toilet. The apparatus includes a toilet seat having a passageway therethrough, a baseplate positioned about the base of a toilet bowl, and a pair of fluid power cylinders supporting the toilet seat for vertical movement between a lowered position immediately above the toilet bowl and an raised position from which the person can easily move between a standing position and a position at least partially supported on the toilet seat. Each of the cylinders has a piston rod extending downwardly therefrom and connected to the baseplate. Fluid lines provide pressurized fluid to the cylinders through the passageway in the toilet seat. Control means deliver the pressurized fluid to the cylinders to raise the toilet seat from the lowered position to the raised position, and exhaust pressurized fluid from the cylinders to lower the toilet seat from the raised position to the lowered position whereby a physically disabled person is assisted down to and up from a seated position immediately above the toilet bowl.

Other user frames may be selected in the same manner and one user frame may be referenced to another user frame through a mathematical operation. These are known as stacked user frames, all such frames being ultimately referred back to the base frame for operation of the programmable manipulator.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for transferring a physically disabled person through a vehicle's driver side door opening to and from a driving position behind the steering wheel of the vehicle. The method and apparatus contemplate the use of a seat assembly, including a seat having a back support, a seat frame, and lift means for lifting and lowering the seat relative to the seat frame. A hinge assembly is mounted inside the vehicle for pivoting the seat assembly about a vertical axis and supports the weight of the seat assembly. The lift means is slidable relative to the hinge assembly. Powered means are mounted to a floor within the vehicle for rotating the seat assembly via the hinge assembly between an outwardly facing position, wherein the lift seat may be lifted or lowered by the lift means outside the vehicle, and an intermediate forwardly facing position inside the vehicle. The powered means also provide for lateral movement of the seat assembly between the intermediate forwardly facing position and a driving position behind the vehicle's steering wheel.

摘要： A process for the extraction of a metal from an ore or concentrate comprises subjecting the ore or concentrate to pressure oxidation in the presence of oxygen and an acidic solution containing halogen ions and a source of bisulphate or sulphate ions, such as H.sub.2 SO.sub.4. The metals which can be extracted by the process comprises copper as well as non-cuprous metals such as zinc, nickel and cobalt. During pressure oxidation the metal may be precipitated as an insoluble basic salt, such as basic copper sulphate, or substantially completely solubilized and precipitated later as the basic metal salt.
