    • A housing for a distributed filter removably mounts to a wall plate between the wall plate and a wall-mount telephone without the use of a tool. The housing includes a base and a cover attached to the base that together define a cavity. A filter circuit for filtering voice signals is disposed within the cavity. A phone jack and at least one auxiliary jack are also disposed in the cavity and accessible through the cover. In one embodiment, viewing windows are formed through the cover to permit an installer to view the mounting studs on the wall plate during installation. A slide lock is also provided to secure the housing to the wall plate. In another embodiment, a push-button lock is provided to secure the housing to the wall plate. The push-button is forced outwardly during installation when a mounting stud engages a slot formed in the base and is subsequently depressed to secure the housing to the wall plate.

    • An apparatus and method for mounting an xDSL signal splitter that is readily interconnected with existing indoor premises telephone wiring to provide separate access to voice and data signals by the subscriber. The apparatus comprises three pairs of terminations for connection of combined signal wiring, first signal wiring and second signal wiring. A first splitter circuit is mounted in the housing and electrically connected between the first pair of terminations and the second pair of terminations. A first signal jack extends through the exposed surface of the housing and is connected to receive only the first signal. In an alternative embodiment, the third pair of terminations is electrically connected to a branch point between the first pair of terminations and the first splitter circuit. In another alternative embodiment, a second splitter circuit is mounted in the housing and electrically connected between the branch point and the third pair of terminations. A second signal jack extends through the exposed surface of the housing and is connected to receive only the second signal.

    • Duplex fiber optic connectors and fiber optic cable assemblies suitable for polarity reversal along with methods of polarity reversal are disclosed. The duplex fiber optic connector assemblies and fiber optic cable assemblies allow rotation of individual fiber optic connectors within the housing assembly for polarity reversal. In one embodiment, the duplex fiber optic cable assembly may use a single boot and a single fiber optic cable, thereby reducing the backside footprint of the cable assembly for improved access and/or airflow. In another embodiment, the housing of the duplex assembly has integral detents to limit rotation, and may further include a removable trigger mechanism and/or a rotatable boot to facilitate polarity reversal.

The local convergence points provide a plurality of preconnectorized multi-fiber ports adapted to receive a preconnectorized end of a distribution cable within the enclosure of the local convergence point, on the enclosure itself, or outside the enclosure. For example, the local convergence point may provide preconnectorized multi-fiber ports outside the enclosure with an accumulator optically connected to the interior of the local convergence with an accumulator cable, wherein the accumulator comprises the plurality of preconnectorized multi-fiber ports.
