    • In a mobile network, the transmission of downlink data blocks (303, 307) to one or more terminal devices (200, 210) is accomplished on the basis of a retransmission protocol with a first feedback time (F1) defining a time interval between transmission of a first data block (303) and transmission of a first feedback message (308) being different from a second feedback time (F2) defining a time interval between transmission of a second data block (307) and transmission of a second feedback message (309). The first feedback message (308) indicates whether the first data block (303) was successfully received, and the second feedback message (309) indicates whether the second data block (307) was successfully received. A base station (100) of the mobile network controls the terminal device (200, 210) to send the second feedback message (309) on other resources than used for transmission of the first feedback message (308).

    • Data Block Transmission with Variable Retransmission Feedback Time For communicating data between a transmitter (10) and a receiver (14), wireless transmission of data blocks is implemented on the basis a retransmission protocol with variable value of a feedback time. The feedback time defines a time interval between transmission of one of the data blocks (22) and transmission of a feedback message (23) indicating whether the data block (22) was successfully received. The transmitter (10) or the receiver (14) determines the value of the feedback time. Depending on the determined value of the feedback time, the transmitter (10) controls transmission of the data block (22) to the receiver and/or the receiver (14) controls reception of the data block (22) at the receiver (14). The transmitter (10) may for example be a base station of a mobile network, and the receiver (14) may be a terminal device connected to the mobile network. (FIG. 1)

    • A method may be provided in a wireless terminal to modify access to a Radio Access Network. The method may include providing a barring rate at the wireless terminal and providing a barring rate modifier at the wireless terminal. A modified barring rate may be provided at the wireless terminal responsive to the barring rate and the barring rate modifier with the modified barring rate and the barring rate being different. A random number may be provided at the wireless terminal responsive to attempting to access the Radio Access Network, and access of the wireless terminal to the Radio Access Network may be blocked responsive to the random number failing to satisfy a threshold of the modified barring rate. Related wireless terminals, network nodes, and network operations are also discussed.
