    • A network device includes a physical layer transceiver configured to receive incoming data on a data link at an input clock rate and to store the incoming data in a buffer. The physical layer transceiver includes a Media Independent Interface (MII) controller configured to receive the incoming data stored in the buffer and to transmit the incoming data over a MII bus based on a MII clock where the MII clock is a spread spectrum clock. The network device further includes a Media Access Control (MAC) device configured to receiving incoming data from the physical layer transceiver over the MII bus where the incoming data is clocked by the spread spectrum MII clock.

    • Systems and methods are provided for presence detection using an image system. The image system may be a camera that is integrated into an electronic device. In some embodiments, the image system can accommodate multiple operating modes of the electronic device. For example, when the electronic device is operating in a normal power mode, control circuitry of the image system can detect when a user has left and is no longer using the electronic device. When the electronic device is operating in a power saving mode, the control circuitry can detect user presence (e.g., when a user has come back to the electronic device). In some embodiments, the control circuitry can adjust for both gradual and sudden light changes.

    • A projector with a light-shading device is provided. The projector includes an illuminating system, a micromirror device and a projection lens, wherein the illuminating system includes a light source producing a light, a condenser lens condensing the light from the light source, and a reflection device reflecting the light from the condenser lens; the micromirror device receives the light reflected by the reflection device, processes the light and then reflects the light therefrom; the projection lens receives the light from the micromirror device and then focuses the light; and the light-shading device is disposed between the illuminating system and the micromirror device for blocking a scattering light produced by the illuminating system.
