    • Provided are a method and a device for performing a handover in a wireless LAN system operating in a white space band. A method includes: allowing a specific station (STA) to access a service region of a second access point (AP), the specific STA associated with a first AP and storing a first enablement STA identification information (“IDINFO”), the first enablement STA IDINFO being an IDINFO of an enablement STA managing STA enablement from the first AP; receiving a message, from the second AP, including a second enablement STA IDINFO (an IDINFO of an enablement STA managing STA enablement provided by the second AP); comparing the first and second enablement STA IDINFO; if the first and second enablement STA IDINFO are different, performing a procedure for changing an enablement STA and a handover to the second AP, to a second enablement STA, which corresponds to the second enablement STA IDINFO.

    • A station forms a connection with a first access point (AP): a particular station for storing first active station identification information of an active station that manages the activation of the station serviced by said first AP accesses a region serviced by a second AP, and receives from said second AP a message for containing second active station identification information of the active station that manages the activation of the station serviced by said second AP; said first active station identification information is compared with said second active station identification information; and if said first active station identification information is different from said second active station identification information, a procedure for changing the active station and a handover to said second AP are performed to a second active STA corresponding to said second active station identification information.

    • When channel switching to a channel in a white space band is performed through tunneled direct link setup (TDLS) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, it is confirmed whether or not a white space band between STAs is operable by directly including white space band performance between communication target STAs and device identifier information in a TDLS request/response message. Thus, one STA performs a channel availability query (CAQ) procedure in order to obtain available channel information, and a TDLS channel switching request/response message is exchanged by selecting a target channel in an available channel. Therefore, TDLS-based channel switching to a white space band is efficiently performed.

    • A method for receiving a measurement report includes: transmitting, by an apparatus including a coexistence manager (CM), a measurement request message for acquiring a measurement report from at least one device that uses a channel in a TV band to a coexistence enabler (CE); and receiving, by the apparatus, a measurement response message including the result of the measurement results from the CE. The measurement request message includes a first element indicating which of a primary detection, a detection of a device that uses the TV band, and a channel load measurement is requested. The measurement request message includes at least one of a start frequency, an end frequency, a channel list, and a measurement time related to the measurement, and the measurement report includes at least one selected from among the result of primary detection, the result of the detection of the device that uses the TV band.
