    • A photostimulation apparatus may include: a membrane for insertion into a living body; and at least one cell disposed on the membrane. Each cell may include a first light source for irradiating light to a photosensitive material in the living body. Further, a photostimulation apparatus may include: a membrane for insertion into a living body; and at least one first light source disposed on the membrane for irradiating light to a photosensitive material in the living body. Since the photostimulation apparatus is placed on the surface of cortex or dura, it may minimize damage of the brain tissue and may activate and/or inhibit a large area simultaneously using light.

    • Disclosed embodiments relate to an apparatus for detecting brain conditions. The apparatus for detecting brain conditions may include: a layer which is located adjacent to the brain of a living body; a light source which is formed on the layer and irradiates light to the brain; and an optical sensor which is formed on the layer adjacent to the light source and detects the light scattered from the brain. Since detection is possible at a location relatively adjacent to the brain, the apparatus for detecting brain conditions may improve accuracy and reliability of detection. The apparatus for detecting brain conditions may be used to detect brain conditions such as cerebral oxygenation, cerebral blood volume, cerebral blood flow, etc. or to monitor brain activities, or to diagnose and/or localize the disease foci in case of neurovascular disease such as stroke including hemorrhage or bleeding, into or around the brain or brain tumors or epilepsy, etc. Since the apparatus for detecting brain conditions has a relatively flexible structure, damage to the brain tissue may be minimized.

    • A system for measuring flow information of a fluid, the system includes a light emission control unit for passing an X-ray through a specimen only at desired moments; a scintillator installed on an axis of a beam to convert an X-ray wavelength flow image, which is generated while the X-ray passes through the specimen, into a visible wavelength flow image; and a recording device for acquiring a flow image focused on the scintillator. The system may further include a synchronization unit for synchronizing the recording device with the light emission control unit to acquire two or more flow images at a predetermined interval using the recording device; and a PIV velocity field measurement unit for extracting quantitative flow information from the two or more flow images acquired by the recording device.
