摘要： A room humidifying apparatus is provided which operates with minimum cost and without any electrical power. The humidifier is located so as to make use of a stream of air coming from a register. The humidifier has a casing carrying a main water tank, a water pan and an evaporative filter element which are located in the casing. The tank drips water onto the filter element, which has a lower portion located in the water pan to collect any excess water dripping down the filter element and also to moisten it with capillary effect. Heated air from the register becomes humidified on passing through the filter element. The water tank can be filled manually from the top or be detachable and filled through a bottom refill opening. Alternatively, the water tank can be connected to a water source with a valve to regulate the flow of water into the water tank. The water tank may be balanced so as to displace, for example tilt, from a first position when it contains water to a second position when it is empty.

摘要： A Mechanism to unlock disabled portable computing devices using Quick Response (QR) code. The portable computing devices can be in disabled mode due to various reasons like the user can be in driving mode or not in a position to safely operate the device. Un-locking of the device is warranted in some situations, for example the passengers travelling in the same vehicle need to use their portable computing devices. Un-locking portable computing devices mechanism uses the existing utilities already available in the portable computing devices such as camera and finger print scanner. Embodiments of this invention relate to un-locking mechanism using Quick Response code need at least one other portable computing device to unlock a disabled device. One device is used to generate and display the QR code for the other device to scan the QR code and get unlocked. This measure is implemented so that driver engaged in driving cannot unlock the phone by self.

摘要： Disable systems for portable computing devices operated by drivers which restrict the ability of a portable computing device to perform certain functions, such as texting, emailing, surfing internet, taking photos by operators and drivers of motor vehicles in motion. The disable mechanism is implemented combining several telematics and electro-magnetic technologies residing in On-board diagnostics (OBD) computer system of an automobile and portable computing device considering various situations an operator of a vehicle can be in. In one embodiment, a portable computing device can provide a disable mechanism with the use of a gigahertz signal in the vehicle by using a motion analyzer, a gigahertz signal receiver, a finger print analyzer and a disable mechanism. In other embodiments, the portable computing device can provide a disable mechanism without modifications or additions to the vehicle with the use of blue tooth signals, signals transmitted by the engine of the vehicle or electronic key, a motion analyzer, a finger print analyzer and a disable mechanism when a driver is engaged with the vehicle.
