    • A mobile terminal includes a housing, a first user interface located on a first face of the housing, a second user interface located on a second face of the housing different from the first face, and a controller within the housing and coupled to the first and second user interfaces. The second user interface includes a touch sensor configured to be used in tandem with the first user interface. The second user interface is positioned on the housing relative to the first user interface such that, when the mobile terminal is held in the user's hand, the first user interface is operable by a thumb and the second user interface is operable by a finger of the same hand. The first user interface is configured to receive a first user input, and the second user interface is configured to receive a second user input. The controller is configured to detect a combination of the received first and second user inputs, and is configured to perform a mobile terminal function associated with the detected combination responsive to detection of the combination. Related user interfaces and methods of operation are also discussed.

    • An electronic device is configured to facilitate the transfer of customized multimedia content. A controller encapsulates multimedia payload using data stored in memory and transfers the encapsulated multimedia content to a remote device over a communications interface. The data may include one or more user-selected start positions for the multimedia content, each being associated with a user-specified predetermined event. The device may also receive encapsulated multimedia content, and use the encapsulated information to update local memory. This allows the receiving electronic device to use the multimedia content as specified by the sending user without requiring the user to redefine the user-selected start positions and their associated predetermined events.

    • A wireless communications device that sends and receives presence status information is configured to detect when it is proximate a predefined zone. A receiver in the wireless communications device receives presence information from a transmitter associated with the predefined zone. The presence information defines a new presence status for the wireless communications device, and may include an indicator associated with the new presence status. Upon receipt of the presence information, a controller in the wireless communications device automatically changes the current presence status of the wireless communications device to the new presence status, and publishes the changed status to a remote entity. If the new presence status is not defined in memory, the controller may add the new presence status to memory.
