摘要： Systems and methods for avoiding roaming or communications charges when a mobile communications device such as a cellular telephone receives an incoming telephone call use a non-native communications provider, such as a VOIP service provider to redirect the call. A subscriber's mobile communications device establishes a data connection to the VOIP service provider through a data network, and call forwarding instructions are issued to the subscriber's telephony service provider to cause calls directed to the subscriber's mobile communications device to be redirected to a forwarding telephone number associated with the VOIP service provider. When a call is placed to the subscriber's normal telephone number, the call is forwarded to the VOIP service provider. The VOIP service provider establishes a VOIP communications channel with the subscriber's mobile communications device via a data network, and the incoming call is connected to the subscriber's mobile communications device via the VOIP communications channel.

The method comprises determining one or more characteristics of an incoming call, mapping the one or more characteristics to a termination policy, and routing the incoming call to a communication device. The incoming call is routed to the communication device in accordance with the mapped termination policy. The determining, mapping, and routing steps are performed by a controller computing device as known in the art. The apparatus comprises means for determining one or more characteristics of an incoming call, means for mapping the one or more characteristics to a termination policy, and means for routing the incoming call to a communication device. The incoming call is routed to the communication device in accordance with the mapped termination policy.

摘要： A system and method for use in assuring the quality of a web site are disclosed. The system and method are particularly directed to the quality assurance of a telephone directory web site that, in response to queries submitted by visitors to the web site, returns telephone listings including links to web pages relating to listed businesses or individuals. The system and method of the present invention allow a user thereof to easily access and view data records generated during periodic tests of the web site. Each record corresponds with a listing in the directory and includes at least one data field having data indicative of the outcome of a search verification test (e.g. a string code such as “OK”) and at least one data field having data indicative of the outcome of a link verification test (e.g. an HTTP result code such as “404”). A first interface, displayed by a client, provides for submission of search criteria (e.g. a particular HTTP result code) to a server in communication with the client. A list of records found by the server meeting the submitted search criteria is displayed in a second interface by the client. In displaying the list of records, at least the data indicative of the outcome of the link verification test is displayed for each listed record. In this manner, the system and method of the present invention facilitate identification of listings having links that are failing.
