摘要： A seal assembly for an axial flow gas turbine engine includes a rotatable component having a radially extending mate face, a seal slot formed in the mate face, and a seal member slidably disposed in the seal slot. The seal slot includes a radially outer wall and an opposing radially inner wall extending into the component in a circumferential direction from the mate face. The radially outer wall is angled radially inwardly from the mate face toward an inner end portion of the seal slot. Rotation of the seal assembly during operation of the engine produces a centrifugal force on the seal member to effect movement of the seal member in the circumferential direction out of the seal slot.

摘要： A machine for separating serosa from mucosa is disclosed. The machine comprises two peeling rollers, or one peeling roller or belt and a stationary member. The stationary member can comprise a blade. The separation between the two peeling rollers, or the one peeling roller or belt and stationary member is about equal to or less than the thickness of a harvested intestine ribbon. The separation has a proximal and a distal end. The machine also comprises first means for rotating the one or more peeling rollers or the peeling belt at a first speed. A pull roller is adjacent to the distal end of the separation. The machine further comprises second means for rotating the pull roller at a second speed. The second speed is less than the first speed of the first means for rotating. The source of the nonseparated serosa-mucosa layer can be a harvested intestine ribbon of a mammal. Separated serosa is useful in the manufacture of catgut sutures.

摘要： A bypass air valve is provided which includes a liner, a strap, apparatus for biasing the strap into contact with the liner, a selective actuator, and apparatus for passage of bypass air. To open and close the valve, the selective actuator unwraps a segment of the strap from the liner before the strap is translated a distance around the circumference of the liner. The biasing apparatus biases the strap back into contact with the liner.

摘要： Loop avoidance information is added to messages to determine whether a messaging application had previously processed a message. Loop avoidance information can be added to messages as they are received in an added header field (such as a message identifier and user identifier) prior to storage. The information can be signed by the inserting application. If the application sees the information in the header of a subsequently received message, appropriate action may be taken to abort processing of the message. This is particularly useful in downloading from POP accounts. Similar loop avoidance information (which might include the destination address) can be added as a message is being automatically forwarded. In a subsequent forwarding, the application could determine that it had previously forwarded the message and should abort the current forwarding. The loop avoidance information can be stored locally for subsequent fast look up.
