    • An automatic pawl winding mechanism for a watch movement has a rotor solidly attached to a rotor wheel and oscillating about the axis of a rotor pivot, a pawl wheel to which an oscillating motion of rotor is transmitted by the rotor wheel being pivoted about the axis of a pawl wheel shaft, at least one pawl being eccentrically attached to the pawl wheel shaft, and an automatic wheel cooperating with the pawl or pawls. The oscillating motion of the rotor wheel is thus transformed into a unidirectional rotary motion of the automatic wheel, and this rotary motion is transmitted to a ratchet wheel via a transformation gear train. The rotor, the gear train from the rotor with rotor wheel to the pawl wheel with the pawl or pawls is mounted on an independent rotor bridge while no other organ of the mechanism is mounted on this bridge.

    • In the quartz watch according to the invention all the time displaying hands (of the hours, the minutes and, possibly, the seconds) are kinematically permanently connected to each other, thus always displaying time in a very precise manner by their respective positions, whichever manipulations are made by the watch carrier.The addition to the conventional parts of the watch of a detector sensitive to the manually controlled displacements of the hands and of a counting device for finishing off these displacements and for memorizing the time impulses during the manual correction, ensures automatically setting the hands in the exact time indicating positions thus permitting the watch carrier who travels from one time zone into another one to make rapidly the necessary time alterations without prejudice of the previous precision of the time indication.

A method of fabricating the one-piece stators efficiently consists in rolling together two strips of ferromagnetic metal and an interposed fillet of non-magnetic metal, these elements being joined at their edges to form a composite band from which the stators are blanked.

    • A spring having three juxtaposed elastic blades connected to each other only at each end by two transversal portions. The central blade is cambered in a first direction and the two lateral or outside blades are cambered in an opposite second direction. The width of each blade diminishes to a minimum half-way between the middle of each end to equally distribute stresses applied to the spring, so that no lateral displacement of the spring will take place when it is compressed. The middle portion of the central blade has a protrusion adapted to make contact with an electrical component such as a battery. The two lateral blades each have a downwardly extending tongue at their center portion to bear against a bearing element, so there is electrical contact between the battery and the bearing element via the spring.
