    • A composite network protective/recovering device includes first to fourth input/output (I/O) modules. The first and third I/O modules are operational modules and the second and fourth I/O modules are protective modules. A first span connection group connects the first I/O operational module with the second I/O protective module. A second span connection group connects the third I/O operational module with the fourth I/O protective module to perform span switching. A first bidirectional line switching ring connects the first I/O operational module and the third I/O operational module to form a bidirectional ring which has two lines in each direction. A second bidirectional line switching ring is connected to the first to fourth I/O modules to form transmitting/receiving operational lines which include two lines in each direction and protective lines which include two lines in each direction. Cross-connection (DXC) module performs cross-connecting function between signals which are transferred through the I/O modules and classifies signals to be added or dropped.

    • The present invention relates to an overvoltage repetition prevention circuit, a method thereof, and a power factor correction circuit including the same. The power factor correction circuit includes: an inductor receiving an input voltage and supplying an output voltage; a power switch connected to the inductor and controlling an inductor current to the inductor; and a power factor correction controller differently controlling a control structure generating a control voltage controlling a switching operation of the power switch during a predetermined overvoltage stabilization period generated in synchronization with a time that an output voltage is an overvoltage and the control structure generating the control voltage in a normal state in which the output voltage is not the overvoltage, wherein the control structure is determined according to a difference between the output voltage and a predetermined output target voltage during the overvoltage stabilization period.

    • The invention relates to a power supply for a liquid crystal display using a light emitting diode for a backlight unit, and more particularly, to a power supply combining a DC power supply outside the liquid crystal display with a driving power supply inside the liquid crystal display into a single power supply. The power supply for a liquid crystal display according to an aspect of the invention may include: a power conversion section converting commercial AC power into at least one operating power having a predetermined voltage level through a switching operation; a backlight driving section switching the operating power from the power conversion section into backlight driving power; and a power switching control section controlling the switching operation of the power conversion section on the basis of a first feedback signal having a voltage level of the operating power from the power conversion section and a second feedback signal having a voltage level of the backlight driving power from the backlight driving section, wherein the power conversion section, the backlight driving section and the power switching control section are mounted on a single printed circuit board.

    • A method and system for inspecting a data packet stream in a computer network for patterns that fall across data packet boundaries is disclosed. This includes determining if two or more data packets are consecutive in the data packet stream, combining data payloads from the consecutive data packets, and analyzing the combined data payloads from the consecutive data packets for a plurality of patterns of character combinations, wherein the maximum length of the combined data payloads is one less than the maximum number of characters for a pattern having a longest length of the plurality of patterns of character combinations. This can include a content searching engine and/or a regular expression engine. There are optional aspects to return data packets to an outgoing data stream based on predetermined criteria and if the data packets are in the system for over a predetermined time period.
